When veterans of the Second World War, Chemik John Farrou and Engineer Richard Boll, opened his own enterprise for the production of bright and persistent paints, the Ford and the British Ministry of Defense became the main customers. After fifteen years later, the founders sold a thriving business, but the basic principles laid them - use only the highest quality components and not bother to pigments - the company professes it to this day.

The unique feature of Farrow & Ball - to listen to the trends of time, take into account global trends, but do not chase the fashion and do not succumb to one-day ideas. When in the 70s - 80s of the twentieth century, all manufacturers of varnishes and paints rushed to experiment with the compositions, including acrylic and other plastics, Dorset Masters disseminately shrugged and did not change the traditional, not once proven and well-proven recipes on based oils. However, in the first decade of the 2000s, the recipes changed - a new, "ecological" trend was recognized as worth attention. So the "oil" palette Farrow & Ball changed eco-friendly paint paints on a water basis, which took the most valuable from old recipes: the complexity of the shades, the richness of color and - well, of course, the main thing! - the unique saturation of the compositions with high-quality pigments.

The desire to meet the requirements of the time did not force the Farrow & Ball to betray unique technologies, just the sphere of their application has changed slightly: manually, in the old manner, the company does not make paint, but wallpaper. The basis for the picture is often served by the fruits of archival surveys: the wallpaper "From past centuries" is unchanging in constant popularity, they are especially valued by decorators and architects engaged in the restoration of historical interiors. Printing with carved cliche on tight paper gives a wonderful, extremely pleasant to the touch relief, and Farrow & Ball paints (of course, their own compositions are used!) Provide colors wealth and a variety of palettes.

By the way, about the palette. All over 70-year-old history of the Farrow & Ball of the "business card" of the company was a palette of 132 colors - no more nor less. Therefore, the range is updated infrequently: only the best developments are honored to enter the palette, because for the sake of them will have to remove some proven colors. Since 2016, the company's fans have been waiting for new products, and here during the London Design Festival, in September 2018, their patience was rewarded: nine new colors appeared. Each of them is interesting associations. TRERON® NO.292 received a name in honor of the type of green pigeons.
