What is winter / summer
Modern windows are quite complex systems with a whole set of different functions. Owners sometimes do not recognize about some of them. These include summer and winter operating modes. The main task of window structures to ensure maximum protection against street cold and noise. Therefore, many are sure that the systems are absolutely sealed. But it is not so.
Folds adjacent to Ramam with some gaps. For this reason, seals are installed, which are responsible for the tightness of the windows. The density of the junction of the rubber seal can be adjusted. In winter mode, the maximum clamp is installed. So it is possible to overlap the access of cold air. In summertime, pressing is weakened to a minimum, which allows constant access of fresh air to the room.

What provides the tightness of the window
The main part, determining the degree of pressing of the rubber seal, is called an eccentric or pin. They can be seen on the side parts of the window sash. The number of assignments is determined by the size of the structure. What it is larger, respectively, more eccentrics will be installed. On average, on each window flap of four pin, on the balcony - six.

Which windows can adjust
Not all plastic window systems support winter / summer modes. It all depends on the fittings installed on them. Experts distinguish its three types:
- Budget. Details with minimal functionality. Their main advantage is low price. Switching different modes of operation is not provided.
- Standard. It assumes the presence of additional functionality, including seasonal modes.
- Specialized. Special variations for work under certain conditions: protection against unauthorized penetration, reinforced details, etc. Most often can switch to seasonal modes.
If it is unknown, what kind of fittings is installed on home windows, you can visually determine the possibility of adjusting them. To do this, we find the eccentric shutters on the ends. If the parts are equipped with recesses intended for a screwdriver, for an asterisk or under a hexagon, it means that the adjustments are possible. Tsazfa in the form of oval is also most often adjustable. All other options are still.

How to translate accessories windows for summer mode
There are no special difficulties here. Such a translation can be easily implemented with your own hands. But you need to understand that the possible error will pernicably affect the tightness of the window structure. In some cases, it comes to sufficiently serious repairs, which is carried out by experts. And one more remark. It is impossible to fit the accessories constantly functioning in winter mode. Too dense adjacent quickly displays the seal.

To transfer accessories, we consistently perform such operations:
- Find all the axes on the sash here. We remind you that they are located around the perimeter of the structure. For the normal functioning of the window, you must translate into the selected mode each of the details.
- We consider eccentric and select the tool you need. It can be a hex key, pliers or screwdriver. With their help, we will deploy an armof.
- You need to rotate eccentric 90 °. Most of the parts rotates clockwise. Furnishing accessories equipped with a mechanism similar to the one is in the clock. In this case, the head of the eccentric before turning must be lifted, and then again deepen in the sash. There is no extreme position at the Tsazf, so they focus on the mark on the details.

Similarly, we change the position of each eccentric - and on this adjustment ends. It is worth checking the quality of the work performed. The easiest method is the closing window. We track how tight the handle on the frame is rotated. In the "Winter" mode, you have to make more effort, in the summer - less.
Another simplest test. Close the window, pressing a paper sheet with a leaf. Then try to pull it out. If the paper is easy enough to remove, the design works in the "Summer" mode. If it is difficult - the force of pressing corresponds to the "winter" regime. To evaluate the work of the entire mechanism, the paper alternately put in the upper part, in the bottom and in the middle of the sash.

The next reconfiguration of fittings for work in seasonal mode will need to be done with the onset of the first cold, provided that the window is tangible "pulls" the coolness. If there is no such strong thrust, you may not be able to translate the windows in the winter mode. Long-term strong pressing of the sealer significantly reduces its service life.
