The most frequent problem is that the cloth with closure ceases to fall into catties. As a rule, the reason lies in the shift (roll) of the foundation of the gate. Alas, even a massive concrete unit, laid below the depth of the soil freezing, can slightly change the position under the influence of frosty powder forces. Sometimes it happens after years of operation - after a particularly rainy autumn and harsh winter. Consider the gate is sometimes possible by adjusting the position of the roller platforms with lining beds. If this helps only for a short time, it will have to strengthen the foundation - digging the pit and topping concrete, be sure to touch the new and old parts of the base with reinforcement pins. You can also use screw piles, which will reduce the volume of earthy and concrete work.

Sometimes the canvas ceases to fall into catties for another reason: it was deformed by a storm gust of the wind when opening or closing. Temporary refusal of the drive or breakage of the mechanism often arise in the cold season. The design is not afraid of loose snow, but should not include the drive, if the gate has a snowdrift or was formed. And although it is prohibited by the instructions forbidden to lubricate it (only the upper guide rollers need in lubricant), many users with the arrival of winter are applied to this detail of a layer of litola or similar composition to prevent icing. However, the spring rail needs to be carefully wiped out, otherwise it will cover dust and mud working as abrasive.
Platform bearings are very durable, however, they sometimes fail, and then the canvas begins to grop when driving. Replace trolleys is easy (although it is required to remove the web), but if the manufacturer has stopped producing the products of the desired size, and the carrier beam will have to be changed.

Drives leading manufacturers (Somfy, Came, Nice, etc.) supplied to our market are designed to work at low temperatures (usually up to -20 ° C, and some up to -30 ° C and even -40 ° C). And yet, in the frost, the grease in the gearbox thickens, the drive is exposed to high loads and produces a resource much faster. Sometimes a condensate is formed inside the case, which causes malfunctions.
If you plan to enjoy the drive in the winter, it is advisable to equip it with a heating system consisting of a heating element and a thermostat (the price per set is from 4 thousand rubles). The heater is a flexible tape with spring fasteners, which is easily adapted to the size and shape of the drive housing; It should be installed in such a way as to provide heat reducer. The thermostat is configured to switch on when the air temperature decreases to -5 ... -10 ° C and automatically turns off the heating, when the temperature of the gearbox housing will increase to + 5 ... +10 ° C. The power consumed power does not exceed 100 W.
