Frame partitions have a small mass - 28-49 kg / m² - and provide good sound insulation of the premises. But without a sealing tape, sound and vibration insulation of the design will be incomplete. We tell more about its pluses and nuances of installation.

The popularity of the prefabricated partitions is quite explained. Their pressure on the carrier structure is 5 times less than the brick wall. During the fire, they prevent the spread of the flame, as they can restrain it from 30 minutes and more. Frame structures filled with mineral insulation plates provide sufficient sound absorption due to the fibrous structure of the material effectively quenching the sound wave.
And yet, the Optimal Soundproofing Partition can be obtained only with a decrease in the rigidity of the frame pairing node with the carrying overlap and the elements of partitions with each other.

For a dense conjugation of metal frame profiles of facing and partitions with supporting construction structures in places of adjustment, with the preservation of the required sound insulation properties, the sealing tape is intended. It is a unilateral self-adhesive strip of foamed polyethylene. During installation, the sealing tape is paved between the base and horizontal guides. Similarly, they are entered in the nodes of the adjoining partition to the ceiling and to the walls.

The main advantages of the sealing tape:
- junction compacts;
- reduces sound penetration through joints with structures;
- absorbs vibration;
- Reduces the likelihood of cracking in plasterboard structures due to damping properties.

Montaja rules
The sealing tape is glued to pre-purified from contamination, a degreased, dry surface. For reliable fixation, it is sufficiently tight to the end of the metal profile. When installing, manufacturers do not recommend stretching the material. Install the tape at a temperature not lower than 5 ° C °.
