The use of LED LEDs in lighting is handed over every day. While they did not become a complete substitute for all light sources, such as gas-discharge lamps, but, apparently, they have good prospects.

The villages are now available for the price, they consume significantly less energy than incandescent lamps and halogen, and ensure quite decent quality of light. All this makes them very popular in the consumer segment. In LED lamps, it can be represented as a familiar lamp with a base and a familiar shape, and to be an integral part of the light instrument (this is the so-called LED module located on the board), and usually it is not subject to replacement, only with the lamp itself.
If two or ten years ago, LED (LED) was used exclusively as an indicator in devices, now it actively displaces traditional light sources.
LED modules are equipped with luminaires of the most different shape and purpose. In everyday life, these are LED ribbons and linear luminaires based on them; Flat lamps for decorative or local illumination, furniture lamps, spotlights.

LED lamps are now produced almost with all types of base, which only are used in everyday life. These are models and a screw base of E27 and E14, and with pin (GU10, G4, GX53, etc.). The compact dimensions of the LED module allow you to use it as a replacement of furniture lamps, which were previously used halogen lamps. LED models are characterized by lower power consumption, but their main advantage in this case is a longer service life. Therefore, it makes sense to install LED lamps primarily in hard-to-reach places where the replacement of lamps is difficult (in the same furniture, for example). At the same time, do not forget that the LEDs are harmful to overheating - the lamps should be provided with heat removal.

Structurally, LED lamps are "bunch" of LEDs together with a built-in driver (current strength) from which the LEDs are powered. LEDs are concluded in a transparent or matte flask, and in the latter case, such a lamp is visually dowable from lamps of other types. Perhaps only the metal heat exchanger-radiator indicates that the LED lamp is in front of us.
LEDs are a convenient source of light, which can provide general and accent lighting, used to create direct and reflected light, to provide functional work light, as well as a relaxing, creating mood, to be cold and stimulating, warm and cozy, color and perky. It is no coincidence that the LEDs are very loved by industrial designers. Create new lamps and think out unusual forms has become much easier. Previously, it was necessary to think about how and where to place the lamp in the product, take into account its physical dimensions and strong heating of the material. Now designers can create continuous bending forms, smoothly glowing flat surfaces of a large area. Light lines made of metal profiles with LED ribbons can move from the surfaces of the ceiling onto wall or floor, drawing the interior with a light graphic pattern. Luminaires that have become icons of style and exist for several decades, appear in updated versions - LED. The most important thing is that you need to remember is that light forms space. It can create and handle, deceive and direct, decorate or spoil. The light is a strong tool both in the interior and in the exterior.

In addition to lamps, a very common way to use LEDs are LED ribbons. On a flexible base, LED modules are placed in one, two or three rows. The more modules, the brighter will be lighting. The tape in most cases is represented on coils of 5 or 10 m, it can be cut in certain places (usually after 10 cm, and this is shown by appropriate product symbols).
Most often, the LED tape is used as a surplus ceiling light, sticking it on a thin metal profile or straight to the surface itself. Such an application has mainly decorative in nature, it is usually not possible to get enough light. But the effect will be interesting. You can make a "soaring" ceiling, the podium, the shelves t. In another case, the tape, glued to the lower surface of the cabinets above the working kitchen table, will give uniform bright lighting when cooking. Waterproof models in the silicone shell can also be used in the bathroom.

There are LED tapes that reproduce both the usual "white" light and colored RGB ribbons. The latter are used to create bright and dynamic light representations. For this purpose, complex systems are used, consisting of a large number of LED luminaires of the variable color of the glow. They also contain power supplies and controllers providing management, synchronization and switching of light instruments to create various light effects and dynamic lights with color change.

Based on the LED tape, the so-called linear luminaires are created. They represent a profile within which the LED tape is connected. Such lamps are universal: they can be used both in the technical premises and for lighting public and residential interiors. In the case of some profile models there is a compartment for the power supply, which significantly improves the appearance of the finished lamp. Installation of luminaires is carried out using special fasteners for overhead or suspended mounting.
Linear luminaires can be used both for the main and local lighting. The advantage of such devices is their relatively small depth, limited profile thickness, which allows you to create practically flat designs.
As a local, such lighting is most often used in the kitchen in the working area. For this, linear luminaires are used, which are mounted on the lower surface of the locker. However, the need for such lighting may occur in the workshop, at the workplace of the schoolchildren or student.
To create uniform lighting, lamps with wide scattering screens are used. For decorative illumination - lamps with directed rays of light.
The aluminum profile is complemented by a large number of components: connectors, plugs, fasteners. This allows you to create interesting design models of lamps: overhead or suspended, straight or cubic, strict lines or original.

Before ordinary ready-made lamps, such models have several advantages:
- Exclusive lamp design at lower costs.
- The ability to change the lighting due to a simple replacement of the tape (color of the glow), add the controller and make a dynamic backlight.
- Easy to replace ribbons as light bulbs in the usual lamp.
- Reliable ribbon will provide a long service life of the lamp.
