This small one-bedroom apartment is located in the old brick house of the Times of Stalin's Building of 1947. A young mistress wanted a cozy interior in the style of light classics, diluted with modern details.

The initial layout at which all rooms are insulated, the customer has not satisfied. The apartment was attended by the impression of cramped and closets. The wishes of the hostess was to create, despite the small area, the feeling of air and space. Therefore, the architect proposed to create a joint space, including an entrance hall, a kitchen and a living room.
Each of the zones has its own conventional border. So, the hallway is separated from the living room with a low furniture module. From the side of the hallway, he plays the role of a comfortable banquette, the living room performs the feature of the couch with a TV panel. The module closes the room from the entrance door, but it does not look cumbersome and does not prevent the penetration into the input zone of natural light.
A compact wine wardrobe is built into a narrow bar rack-partition
The kitchen is visually separated from the total space with a narrow bar counter (30 cm) with a built-in compact wine cabinet, which the customer dreamed of. The conditioned boundaries are visible in the floor finish - parquet laid in the living room, the hallway and the kitchen contains a clamping with a gaterain that imitates marble.
All the walls on this object are painted, only one of them was not decorated, leaving the nude old, touched by a brickwork time, which demanded a number of restoration events. To begin with, the entire plaster layer whipped the wall, then the surface was cleaned by sandblasting. The smallest sand fractions were delicately removed from the brick stains, dirt, dust and fungi, without damaging the material itself. After the work began the restorer - he frowned cracks and replaced the crumbling and shrinking elements. The last stage is the treatment of the wall with an antifungal drug and a matte varnish coating.
The bedroom remained isolated, but communicates with the rest of the space through sliding structures with transparent glass inserts. In the compact bedroom decided to abandon the chandelier. For lighting, lamps are used embedded in a tail ceiling, two table lamps and a backlight, organized inside the dressing room.

Preference to embedded furniture, not cluttering small rooms
There are practically no detached cabinets in the apartment (with the exception of kitchen modules) - all storage systems are built-in, recessed into the walls. For example, in the hallway behind the elegant doors there is a spacious wardrobe. The bedroom wall shows the shelves for clothes. In fact, a fairly large wardrobe room is hidden here behind the sliding structures. The decision to make storage zones built into no coincidence, the main goal of redevelopment was the creation of an open space with a minimum number of furniture, and any racks, dressers and cabinets would climb the already small area.
The ceilings in the whole apartment are multi-level. This technique is due to the technical necessity. The apartment is small, located on the top floor, and all windows overlook the south. It was probability that in the summer it will be too hot here. That is why the author of the project proposed to arrange a system of channel air conditioning, the air ducts of which were hidden behind the stitched plasterboard structures.
For the finishing of the kitchen apron used old barn boards covered with matte varnish. The hostess prepares infrequently, and the need to close the tree with a glass panel was not
The main background creates soft beige shades, which visually increases the premises. In addition, dark doors and facades look at it much more effectively
The furniture for the bathroom was manufactured according to the architect's drawings. The heated towel rail hung closely to the door, behind which a boiler was installed. If the equipment needs full access, the door is removed from the loops
The walls of the bathroom were covered with moisture-resistant paint, but the shower zone and the floor we planned to bore a stonework under the travertine. However, during tiled works, the idea about the design of the wall in the shower niche has undergone a change, since the customer has found the replacement with the source material - the Cabanchik tile. Facing elements are elongated, and beveled chamfer give finish an interesting view. The result is quite efficient, and the facing itself echoes the brick wall of the living room. We did not want to exhibit the equipment, so the idea with the built-in wardrobe came here, the boiler and the washing machine were installed in the box from GLC and hid behind the swollen wooden doors.
