In recent years, many country property owners managed not only to acquire electronic systems for the protection of dwellings, but also in practice to make sure their effectiveness and reliability. It seems that now it is not necessary to close the entrance to the house with heavy, subject to corrosion and, moreover, poorly insulating heat with steel design. It is quite suitable for a wooden or plastic door. The most advantage of the latter is that it does not rot, it does not work well, protects well from the draft and fits perfectly into the design of glazed buildings and attacks - arbors, porch, veranda. This time it will be discussed about swing doors, and we will tell about the sliding in later.

Basis of construction
Plastic door block, like any other, consists of a box (frame), canvas and accessories (loops, handles, locking mechanism). However, all these details are quite specific. Box and sash strapping. These elements are welded from extruded PVC profiles, in the form of a section of resembling windows, however, broader and durable - they are in the range of companies Deseuninck, Kbe, Veka, Rehau, etc. It is desirable that the doors manufacturer use class A profiles according to GOST 30673-99 - with outer walls with a thickness of at least 2.8 mm. To ensure the rigidity and strength of the box and sash, as well as compensate for the thermal expansion of plastic, the framework parts must be reinforced with a steel pipe of the square section, and in the corners it is necessary to install the welded polyvinyl chloride connectors. In addition, screw ties should be present in the corners of the sash with the loop side. Without such an increase, the door will be saved and stop opening and closed. Note that the door profiles are usually less internal cameras than at the window: the most common three and four-dimensional systems are most common. Accordingly, below and heat transfer resistance - it rarely exceeds 0.57 m² ● ° C / W. However, practice shows that the PVC profile will laugh only at temperatures below -18 ° C (while the steel door box can be from the inside to be covered already at -8 ° C).

It should be said a few words about the lower profile of the box - the threshold. What it is lower and stronger, the more convenient to use the door and the longer it serves. When ordering, it is desirable to provide for the installation of a threshold of aluminum (with a plastic thermal survey) with a height of no more than 30 mm.
Filling. In the strapping of the canvas, you can insert one large double-glazed windows, two or more (if the glazing field is divided into pieces of curls) or combine the double-glazed glass with an opaque insertion-filthylane from the sandwich panel (polystyrene foam or polyurethane foam + sheet plastic or MDF).
Most profile systems allow you to establish a thickness of up to 34 mm. Thus, the resistance of the heat transfer of the structure can reach 0.67 m² ● ° C / W - almost like a wall from a bar 100 x 100 mm.

So that the entrance door from PVC does not resemble the office, it is worth laminating or paint. Today, the market offers a huge selection of decorative coatings for PVC. Every year new thin layer plastics and films, imitating wood, skin and other materials appear; The quality of lamination has improved: the facing is withstanding dozens of years of operation outdoors and under direct influence of sunlight. For painting frame profiles and Fillean panels, use durable (with service life of up to 50) acrylic compositions, and recently a computer selection has been available, which allows you to get into the tone, for example, roofing or wall panels. Some companies are applied to frame profiles of a color ornament or finish them in a patination or cracker technique. Special PVC-profiles will also help stylize the door under the antique - pilasters with rifrance, shaped platbands, Sandriks, etc. True, they are quite expensive and delivered to order - often these details are cheaper and easier to make from wood. Another expressive decor is a glass. It can use tinted, matted and artistic (stained glass, engraved) glass, as well as decorative sheets of polycarbonate.The PVC door block is a rather complicated design, the quality of which depends on the set of factors. It is important, for example, to use only components recommended by the manufacturer of the profiles system, and there was an operational control, because a lot depends on the hidden parts (amplifying liners, corner connectors). Castles should be applied at least with three locking points to eliminate sfolders during operation. When installing the PVC doors, it is important to prevent the deformation of the door leaf and frame. For this, it is necessary that the position of the loop side of the latter is turned by the level in two planes. The opposite side is exhibited by the arrogance of a hung sash with diagonal control. It is not allowed to install a sash from profiles for the input group in the frame for a conventional window sash.

Choosing accessories
PVC doors equipped with special overhead loops, the basic requirements for which are sufficient lifting capacity (it should at least 30% exceed the mass of the canvas), wear resistance, reliability of fastening and the ability to adjust. The best products are steel, with hidden fasteners that are not available when closed sash. Do not save, purchasing loops that are adjustable with linings - a screw method is much more convenient. If you are interested in increasing the construction resistance of the structure, pay attention to the models of locking devices with hook-shaped bolts that interfere with the sash, there are such products in the range of ABLOY, MACO, Hautau, etc.

Three practical councils
- To check the quality of the door before it is mounted, inspect the angular connections of the framework parts - they must be evenly cleaned, not hairy cracks and other defects.
- The durability of the door depends on the correctness of the reinforcement fastening. For white profiles, the pulp step should not exceed 400 mm, for color - 300 mm.
- If the door is laminated, make sure that the finishing film holds firmly and does not exfoliate anywhere.
