Reflections on the optimal planning solution for this apartment took a lot of time from the project. But at the end of the repair, the interior decorated in the spirit of American Ar Deco has become so harmonious and elegant that no one has suspicion about the difficulties of starting conditions.

The high-altitude monolithic concrete house in which the decorator apartment of Elena Avramenko is located in the area of the Khodyan field in 2005. In the extremely uncomfortable configuration of the premises, it was necessary to enter a full-fledged bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a dining room, and the hallway had to perform the library functions. Choose the design style turned out to be not easy - at first glance, pragmatic and compromise modern functionalism could best smooth out the planning imperfections. But the author made a choice in favor of the classics and Ar Deco, creating a cozy man-made interior that does not have a transient fashion.
Redevelopment
The apartment in the plan is part of the circle segment. The arcuate line of the outer wall, along which five windows of the home are located, did not allow the most practical and aesthetic orthogonal layout of the rooms adjacent to it. The design of the functional space prevented and uncomfortable risers. As a result, it was decided to leave the planning scheme proposed by the developer: two living rooms and a kitchen (these premises have the wrong outlines), as well as rectangular hallway and bathroom. Due to the fact that the developer during the construction changed the original plan and integrated two loggias into the kitchen-dining room space, unsuccessful protrusions were formed, who had to beat the design tools.

Repairs
The apartment had to replace the screed, the walls were leveled by plaster, ceilings - plasterboard. The ceiling levels lowered just 5 cm. The walls were painted, only in the bedroom were wicked by wallpaper, and in the hallway they were tested in the panels of the ivory color. Flooring in the rooms and the kitchen is a massive board, in the technical compartment under the window - ceramic tile. The apartment made high plinths from MDF (13 cm) and pannies from plaster (15 cm). Narrow air conditioners were mounted over the door carriages of the rooms (outdoor blocks - in the technical compartment at the kitchen). The problem was not only a small area of the apartment, but also the wrong outlines of the rooms in which it was difficult to enter the usual furniture without overloading the space. Nevertheless, the designer managed to find non-standard solutions. So, the nephonic protrusion in the kitchen was equipped with a bar counter. Now the hostess is happy to get behind the rack during tea drinking or to work on a laptop, admiring the stunning urban scenery, which opens from the window.
Under a different windowsill, a wardrobe with doors decorated with carved fillets (some of them are transparent), - all sorts of kitchen utensils are kept. The hallway performs both the library functions; A washing machine is hidden in one of the cabinets. The walls from the floor to the ceiling are separated by panels from the array, the doors and their framing are made of it. Bookcases, as well as door loans with warrant decoration and debris are filled to order.
Design
In the design of the apartment combines the elements of the state-free classics and the American version of the aesthetics of Art Deco. In addition to the bright decoration with black chosen enclosures, silver fittings, large lamps with strict mothers or glass beams are selected. The challenge was to create a decent interior with aesthetic and practical attitude, using high quality materials and furniture, but at the same time adhering to a reasonable budget. My previous apartment was framed in a modern spirit and seemed to be minimalist, because I wanted to bring more comfort to the new dwelling. For the same reason, an accurate choice of details was important - up to decorative candlesticks. The oriental carpet brought from the journey was successfully fit in the bedroom. The living room decorated the picture of Vasily Lukin, which Andrei Bilzho was presented with one of the charity auctions. In the kitchen, a separate coffee machine De Longi in the Spirit of retro-modern is also used as an element of decor. Since it was not possible to organize a full-fledged library and a dressing room, both functional zones had to be inserted into the hallway, while retaining the feeling of space. Part of the furniture in the apartment is made according to my drawings and sketches, including cabinets in the bedroom and bathroom.
