Let us ask yourself: why is shower without a pallet better? In Europe, shower zones with a smooth floor are gaining increasing popularity, gradually outer massive cabins. And there is good reasons for this.

An important nuance: cement mortar should not immediately pour on the entire surface of the floor of the bathroom. After soaring the concrete, the box is removed, and the screed is poured inside the shower zone, but now it is not strictly horizontally, but with the observance of the slope towards the alleged ladder or channel. So that water flow towards the ladder, the slope should be 1-2%. If the drain hole is located in the center of the area of the shower zone, it is recommended to provide a bias from all four sides. Located at the wall of the ladder or the shower channel, it allows you to restrict ourselves to the organization of the inclined floor only in the same plane.
The main requirement for arranging the shower cabin with a smooth floor is a sufficient height of the room. A system of shower ladder and pipes that takes water into the sewer, should be below the floor level. So, with the device such a shower zone, the floor level of the bathroom will rise by an average of 100 mm. Ideally, when the decision on the construction of the shower cabin is taken on the construction of a private house, in order for the architect to take into account the screed thickness for the future shower tray. Special troubles such showers are probably not delivered in those new buildings, where the project provides communications in the screed. In urban apartments, especially in the panel houses of old episodes, raising the level of the floor is often undesirable. However, solutions have been developed for the device of shower with a flat floor, which reduce the necessary screed height. For example, Geberit Cleanline shower channels and ladders are available in two sizes. So, for the standard of the hydraulic assembly of 50 mm, the thickness of the screed should be at least 90 mm. Another European standard is 30 mm of water column, for which the minimum tie height is 65 mm. But note that with a decrease in the thickness of the screed, you have to sacrifice the bandwidth.

Waterproofing floor and walls

More expensive and safe materials combine the advantages of rolled and appropriate waterproofing. At the same time, the polymer strips are laid on the floor with a twist of 100-150 mm and a wall at 150-200 mm, and in the shower zone - to the ceiling. The twisters are thoroughly labeled with adhesive composition. For reliability, such waterproofing is placed in two layers. In all cases, it is important to observe tightness around the perimeter of the floor and in those places where the insulation and water supply pipes are passing through the hydro isolation.

In addition, the performance of the system affects the bandwidth of decorative grids and design inserts into the channel.
