In our climatic conditions, the cold nights are characteristic of most of the spring and even the beginning of summer. What technique to acquire, so that the opening of the country season is more comfortable? The optimal choice is an electrical heater.

The main option of heating during the winter season is not customary to use electricity. First, it is too expensive - the main gas is made an order of magnitude cheaper. Secondly, the power grid is not always able to give the necessary consumer power for heating. If the network is not designed to connect the load of more than 2.5 kW, then it will be difficult to protrude the house with the help of electricity. However, when using the most effective electrical installation systems (based on geothermal pumps and air conditioners) and total insulation, the country house will be truly "gold".

Another problem is an episodic heating of one or two rooms, which will not require a particularly powerful device. It is possible to heat the air in an area of 10-15 m² to an acceptable 15-18 ° C using one electrical appliance with a capacity of 2-2.5 kW. It's small - choose a suitable model.

Today, the Russian market presents many options for electric heaters of different designs. Multi-type devices were most common: oil heaters, convectors, infrared heaters, as well as fan heaters.

Electrical fireplaces can be used as a full system of auxiliary heating, as most of them have a power heater to 2000 W

The designs of all types have advantages and disadvantages. For example, oil heaters and convectors are quiet and invisible in operation. They, perhaps, are best suited for the night regime when silence is needed. The minus of oil radiators is the inertia: to access the mode of operation with maximum efficiency, they will need some time (until half an hour), so the devices must be included in advance. Fan heaters, on the contrary, almost instantly begin to work with maximum efficiency. But the noise of the fan limits their use of wakeful hours.

For clarity of the advantages and disadvantages of heaters of different types, are reduced to the table (see below).

Types of electrical heaters

  1. Oil radiators. The heater is placed in a closed metal housing filled with oil - hence the name. The element at the bottom of the body heats the oil, and the convective oil flow is the case.
  2. Infrared heaters. The main heat carrier is infrared radiation. As a result, the surface is largely heated, where invisible infrared rays fall, and in the smaller - the air through which they pass.
  3. Convectors. In their metal case, in contrast to oil heaters, a series of holes in the upper and lower parts are provided, through which air passes. The latter is heated inside the electrical appliance, and then the convective flows will be distributed heat around the room.
  4. Fan heaters. The heating element is complemented by a fan. Accordingly, the air flow is much more powerful than in convectors. Such devices are widely used in various construction work. The power of the fan heaters often exceeds 4-5 kW, which significantly limits their use in domestic conditions.

Choose power with a reserve

In addition to the design, room heaters may differ in other parameters, the main of which is power. Most models, it varies from 1 to 2 kW. It is believed that 1 kW of the power of the heater of any type is enough to warm up approximately 10 m² of residential area. However, this calculation is not always faithful, since most of the premises of summer country houses are weakly protected from heat loss. That is why it is better to choose a heater with a two-three-fold reserve in power - say, for residential premises with an area of 10 m² to acquire a model for 2 kW (the power of the device should not exceed the power supplied to the house). In almost all modern models, it is possible to adjust the level of heating, so it can be reduced if necessary.

For comfortable heating, homeowners prefer to use devices that produce minimum noise and not creating unpleasant drafts

Compatible useful with pleasant

Most domestic heaters do not differ in exquisite design and are not intended to decorate the interior. However, there are exceptions. First of all, electric fireplaces are some capable of working as heat generators. More details we will tell about them in another article, we only note that a variety of models are presented on the market, ranging from devices that imitate fire and split coals using the simplest mechanical devices and illumination, and ending with the magnificent fireplaces that are very believable reproduce the flame. Simple models of electric fireplaces in the assembly can be bought in 3-4 thousand rubles.

With regard to other electrical heaters, then there are devices with an original case. For example, wall-mounted Noirot Verlys Evolution convectors with front panel of black-ceramics of black color, Designer series of fan heaters ART (Electrolux). It is worth mentioning and superproof (film) infrared heaters made in the form of paintings or tapestries. They use thin plates (carbon foils) or coal threads separating heat when current passing through them. They are brewed in a special film transmitting heat radiation. The result is flat (in the share of millimeter thickness) and a flexible rectangular thermo-module.

The heater is placed in the room in such a way as to ensure good heat exchange, otherwise the device will work inefficient

Film infrared heaters have many advantages, including aesthetics, a variety of colors and design options. No less important advantage is a comfortable heating mode. The surface of the device does not heat up above 65 ° C (products with carbon foil) or 75 ° C (with coal thread), so the user will not get a burn when accidentally contacting it. Another incomprehensible plus devices lies in their absolutely silent work.

The power of the heater should not exceed the recommended maximum load on the electrical network, since the overload is fraught with fire

If it is necessary to quickly heat the room, it is desirable to use an electrical referry (for example, a ceramic equation, 1500 W), and if a whole house, the most economical option will be a gas thermal gun (say, the gas calorifer "PROFLOKLY KG-10"). High power electric covers can not always be applied due to high load on the power grid. The optimal choice for maintaining a comfortable temperature is an electroconvector (for example, equation with a mechanical thermostat, 2000 W), which allows you to warm the room more evenly. The oil radiator is not capable of quickly and evenly warm the room, it is better to use it for additional heating.
