Designer class master: How to change the appearance of kitchen furniture with paint and stained glass windows, converting a strict classic into a charging Provence

Initially, kitchen furniture, made according to an individual project from a mahogany array, was a sample of a classic style. However, the owners wished to arrange the interior in the bright colors of Provence, creating an atmosphere of the eternal summer and the sultry south of France. Of course, this style was to fit the furniture set. Change its external appearance decided with the help of artificial aging technique - Krakl. There is a special hydrophilic coating between the two layers of paint (gold and blue). Because of it, cracks were formed in the upper blue layer, through which the base painted "gold" was visible. A similar effect can be done muffled or, on the contrary, pronounced if, when cracking, blow the surface with warm air using a hair dryer.

We offer to master the krakl technique we offer to get acquainted with the sequence of the transformation of wooden kitchen furniture. First, the surface was polished with a gold-grained sandpaper (1). After a while, when the paint has not yet dried finally, but ceased to leave the tracks on the hand, they applied a special transparent coating to create cracks in the finish colorful layer (2). After 30 minutes of neat accurate strokes, carrying out a brush at one place no more than two times, put the blue paint (it can be any composition on a water basis) (3). Literally in the eyes, just 30 s, she begins to crack. Additionally, on the doors of all kitchen cabinets, a dark gold paint was drawn by panels (4) so that they are harmoniously combined with the "buttons" and "brackets" handles. These parts are made of Swarovski crystals enclosed in a metal frame. The dried "aged" surface strengthened, applying two layers of a colorless semi-lacquer on a water basis (at the same time, the first layer was given to dry for 1 h), since the care of kitchen furniture involves periodic wet cleaning
The doors of the buffet were decorated with filled stained glass windows. The contours of the picture applied on the glass is defined by rollers of thick black paint. Sinking, they turn into solid convex "sides" resembling metal. Inside each individual section flooded liquid colored varnish. Ready stained glass windows are dried at a temperature of 200 about 1. The pattern on the doors, decorated in a similar way, resistant to UV rays and enough wearless. You can also wash them with any soft domestic products.
