Due to its natural beauty, warmth, environmental friendliness and durability Wooden floors of time imperture use well-deserved popularity. They are not at all inferior to new materials and even have some superiority in front of them. After all, with wear, the wooden floor can be updated, removing the top layer.

High plank parquet

Parquet piece, parquet artistic, parquet board, massive board- All these are natural wooden flooring offered today by the finishing materials market. Father, what is a parquet, what the floor looks like a piece of parquet, laid by a Christmas tree or a wicker, and what are the possibilities of the art parquet, probably more or less imagine. The massive board is indeed a chalkboard made of natural wood, mostly valuable hardwood, thickness of approximately 20mm, length from 0.5 to 2.4 m and width from 0.8 mm and more. This material allows you to get a monotonous wooden surface or to "play" with the texture, picking up the planks on the pattern of wood or by shades. The massive board is laid only by the deck in a way, which makes certain restrictions on the interior stylist. Such a floor is suitable for a welcoming country, and for cool minimalism or High Tech style, but it is unlikely to be appropriate in the interiors with an intricate oriented decor.

Parquet is universal. Wide artistic features make it compatible with any interior solution. Sparcake board are possible options that simulate the laying of a piece parquet or a massive board.

For those who vaguely imagine that there is a parquet board, we will explain that we are talking about a wooden board of approximately the same sizes as a massive, thickness of 7-22mm, but glued, as a rule, of three layers of wood. This is done in order to get a product, more resistant to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. The fibers of the tree in the layers are located mutually perpendicular. Therefore, when the upper layer under the influence of external factors seeks, for example, to increase in width, the underlying layer restrains the deformation, because it is just "wanting" to expand in another direction. In addition, the valuable wood breeds are used only for the manufacture of the upper layer (0.7-6mm thick). The average is recruited from plates of coniferous rocks, and the bottom - from plywood.

In the pass conditions, a parquet board is covered with varnish or butter, so immediately after laying the floor is ready for operation. He is significantly inferior to the parquet and massive board on the service life, it is nevertheless to grind up to 2-3 times, re-influencing the protective coating.

Signs of breed

For the manufacture of parquet, the massive board and the top layer of the parquet board are mainly used valuable hard hard rocks. There are practically no differences and restrictions here. The only thing is not a massive board from Olive or Karelian birch, as they have low, curves and branching trunks and make one of them a whole piece of large sizes is simply impossible.

Each wood has its own characteristics. If we talk about consumer properties, first of all color, now in fashion the dark rocks, most of which are exotic: Wenge, Merbau, Yarra, Zebrano, Pangga Pangga. Parquet bamboo is also popular with a very original drawing, tick, reddish brown Pinkado. On a dark floor, especially assembled from a massive or parquet board, the jokes are smaller, which gives rise to a general sensation of monolith, corresponding to modern tendencies in interior design. Natural dark floor can serve as a contrast to light walls or to sew tone to furniture, other finishing materials, decor elements.

For hardness and strength, many dark exotic rocks exceed Oak. But the tree remains a tree: warm, slightly pliable and slightly elastic, it is pleasant and natural for human legs, but invariably suffers from the studs of women's shoes. Even on the bright floor of a sufficiently solid maple or almost black from Wenge, there are slightly noticeable dents. It is worth remembering, choosing a flooring for a corridor or hall. Here it is better to stay on a quieter material, and a tree cover floors in the living room and bedrooms.

An unforeseen nuisance is able to turn the permutation of furniture: the silhouettes of previous objects can remain on the wooden floor, because under the influence of light the tree is slightly dark. This happens with the overwhelming majority of natural breeds. Toned tree from light, on the contrary, fades. But over time and in the first, and in the second case, the surface shade is still aligned. Eupy Exotic Dark Breeds are in a winning position. Many of them, as True Africans, the concept of tanning itself is alien. In love, the dark spot on a dark background is not as noticeable as the darkening on the light. From European rocks again, it is necessary to put an example of Oak: its wood is in the smallest exposure to ultraviolet. In order to avoid changing shades, it is recommended to use varnishes and primers protecting the tree from the effects of UV radiation.

Algorithm of protection

All wooden floor materials can be covered not only by varnish, but also with special oil or oil-wax mixtures. For processing, for example, the talo oil obtained from resinous wood rocks is used. The oil perfectly protects the floor from the penetration of dust, moisture and, in contrast to the polymer film of the lacquer coating, absorbs and retains the naturalness of wood. But the tree under it is more intensely wearing, so he has to care for the floor. Regular care is troublesome, however, having its advantages. The floor always looks like a new one, and the loss areas can be submitted and impregnated with a special composition, which restores the wear sections. The old varnish coating is not subject to local update and requires labor-intensive work on grinding the entire area, followed by applying a new protective layer. Varnish, oil impregnation quickly dries, and care procedures do not necessarily do independently, you can contact the service center.

The oil or lacquer protective layer is applied to the already laid floor, and in the factory conditions. The so-called finish coating is more typical for the parquet board and in rare cases occurs on a massive board or parquet. At first glance, it is definitely convenient, but is fraught with their "pitfalls". The fact is that the previously declared material has smoothing chamfering chamfer, and when it becomes necessary to update the upper layer, it is necessary not to grind, and cyclish, removing more than a millimeter in thickness, which means to reduce the service life of the floor. In addition, joints remain unprotected, therefore, the floors are contraindicated with a wet cleaning, and the spilled tea cup can turn into a local swelling. Requirements for the base and to the installation for such a coverage are the highest. For example, traces of glue, most often in the form of fingerprints, the next day is no longer cleaned, and if you try to remove them with a chisel, you can damage the surface of the floor.

But, on the other hand, the material with a finished protective layer is preferable from the point of view of the performance of work execution, guaranteed quality (undoubtedly, experienced parquetrs will cover the floor with varnishes or butter as impeccable, to turn to professionals, and not entrust work to random people) and Finally, the accuracy of the tinting. The fact is that some wood breeds significantly change the color after applying the protective layer. Especially radically reacts to the treatment of the nut. From light gray with a light hint on a brownish shade, it turns into a dense-brown. It is difficult to precisely predict the finishing shade, because different varnishes and oils give an unequal result. Therefore, if certain color accents are laid in the interior design, it is desirable not to risk and choose a material with a finished protective coating.

Full measurement

For strength and convenience of rallying, wooden materials have a special design of the "comb-groove" type. The working layer is considered the thickness of the board or plank before the transition to the "comb-groove". Underformation The working layer is approximately 7-8mm, and the massive boards are 10mm. Therefore, it is theoretically, it has a longer service life. In practice, it turns out that the service life of both floor coatings is in principle the same and exceeds hundreds of years. The service life of the parquet board is estimated at 15-20 years and more. In order for the floor to live to noble old age, it is necessary not only to take care of it, but also to maintain a favorable microclimate in the premises. The tree does not like high temperatures, dryness and is afraid of strong humidity. Centralized heating, adjusted air temperature in apartments up to 25-27 ° C, dried air split-systems, sealed windows and doors adversely affect the natural wooden floor. The optimal temperature intervals within 18-23c and the relative humidity of 40-60% are considered. By the way, too low, less than 30%, the relative humidity adversely affects the health of people, so the acquisition of humidifiers will be useful not only to wooden floors.

Entertaining geometry

Laying a massive board is more expensive than laying of a piece parquet. The reason for this lies in a larger board. The geometry of the geometry of the geometry is always processed more precisely, and a large or long will surely have a greater deviation from the nominal parameters. In addition, the tree is prone to warping, and any curvature is more likely to manifest on a long subject. According to Russian guests, for example, the length of the parquet plank should not exceed 50cm, since at large sizes, deformations may arise that are not compensated by the compound "Comb-groove". The length of the traditional parquet strip is 30cm- size, ergonomically optimal, the drawing is folded from it, "convenient" for the eyes. In general, the ratio of the length and width of the modules can be determined by the size of the room, and even depend on the fashion!

Due to the large size of the massive board, the floor from it requires more time on a preliminary fit and a selection. The parqueters first, as they say, collect the floor dry, that is, lay out the boards and look as they join and how they are combined according to the drawing of the tree, and only then fix it. The massive board has to tighten with self-drawing. Avot Parquet Parquet is placed on glue, and that the glue is well grabbed, each element is fixed into the edge of the plank at the base of the crest with small studs (cloves without hats) with the help of a special tool-pneumatic construction gun.

As for the parquet board, due to the properties of the three-layer design of problems with the distortion of sizes here is significantly less. A parquet board is fastened with glue, but can also be laid and "floating" by the method, that is, fixed only by connecting the "comb-groove". Special lock connections operated on the principle of "rotation and click", or "impact and click". Such a floor can be laid independently, and if necessary, to disassemble or replace the extension fragments with new ones.

Underground organization

Wooden flooring is placed on the aligned, durable, dried base - on the cement screed or on the lags. The choice of foundation is mainly the care of the designers, as the design affects the level of the mark of doors and stairs. There is no principled difference here. But many professionals implies the flooring device on the lags, since this method is closer to the historical and, moreover, takes much less time. (Power technologies, depending on the thickness, should dry the minimum, which significantly increases the dates of repair or construction.) Often the solution to the issue depends on the height of the room - for an apartment with low ceilings it is unacceptable to lose 5-7 cm for the device lag.

Parquet styling technology and massive boards are very similar and differ only by nuances. When they are mounted on the lags it is necessary to ensure the strength and rigidity of the base, so in this case two layers of plywood are put. When laying on a screed, one layer of high-quality waterproof plywood is sufficient.

Sparcket board is even easier. Its laying "floating" way is possible directly on the old floor of ceramic tiles, linoleum, an old parquet or a rigid pile carpet (if they are perfectly smooth). The 21-14mm thick, a picker board can be laid even on top of the warm floor system, but at the same time clearly follow the instructions of the manufacturers of the board itself and the heating system.

Question price

As for the prestige and cost of the wooden floor as a whole, the championship undoubtedly holds an artistic parquet, then a massive board, then a piece parquet, and closes a parquet board. The cost of a massive board as a material above the cost of parquet. For clarity, it is enough to imagine how many small parquet slats of the required quality (without bitch) can be made from the barrel of one tree and how much of the same tree will come out high-quality boards with a length of two meters. Nevertheless, it is possible to find a completely inexpensive massive board, for example, from a larch of 90110135mm domestic manufacturer Woodroom for $ 28 per 1m2. Another democratic version is "Natural Oak", also domestic production ("Leonardo"), the size of 221201200mm is already $ 69 omn2. The same "oak natural", but imported production (NOLTE, Germany), the size of 21132500-3000mm, will cost $ 148 per 1m2, exactly the same plaque coated with varnish - in $ 173, and with oil coated - in $ 167. A massive board of exotic rocks can rise in price very high. For example, a product from Wenge by the same German company NOLTE is offered at $ 372 per 1m2.

The choice of piece parquet is much wider, but also the variation of prices is essential. "Oak natural" domestic factory "Zarya" with the size of the plank 3505015mm costs only $ 17.5 per 1m2. And the "oak natural" production of the enterprise "Ark-parquet" with the size of the plank 3007516mm costs $ 42. Imported oak parquet (Lopark, Germany) with a 4907022mm strka will cost $ 92 per 1m2. Parquet from exotic rocks, such as fashionable wenge (NOLTE), is offered at $ 267 (plank - 4207015mm). A parquet board with a top layer "Natural Oak" from Tarkett (Sweden) is sold at $ 40 per 1m2, and with a top layer from Wenge from Baltic Wood (Poland) - $ 74.

In addition to the material, you will pay for work. Aona is also expensive. For example, serious firms giving a guarantee take $ 35-50 for laying a square meter of parquet (simple drawing), including a base device. Approximately the same as the accompanying materials will cost. Thus, the square meter of parquet floor will cost at least at $ 100-110. Laying the massive board together with the material from inexpensive rocks will cost about the same. The fastest, simple and therefore cheap laying (on the finished base) in the parquet board will cost about $ 10, thus, the floor may require costs of $ 40-50 per 1m2. But do not forget that the prices presented relate to one-time costs. If you calculate the cost of the square meter of the floor for the year of operation (100 years ago 35), the result will be unexpected: the most cheap is the parquet and massive board. But only in the event that you will take care of them!

Therefore, choosing an outdoor cover, think about future plans and repairs. It's one thing if the property is a "family nest", and quite another, if it is a temporary refuge.

The editors thanks Woodroom, "Ark-Parquet", "Parquet Hall" for help in the preparation of the material.
