In a huge variety of new building and finishing materials, even professionals are sometimes lost at the vast and incomprehensible names. What to talk about a person who first told for the repair of their own housing.

Overcoming a short, but hard road of a pioneer in the field of repair and comparing the results obtained with the number of ruined nerve cells, I decided in the name of human-minded, share acquired experience with other non-professional. Just as numerous specialists shared with me with their knowledge. It all started with the fact that I had a desire to make a beautiful floor in my apartment. I knew, of course, that for this in the market there are many materials: parquet, parquet board, laminate, linoleum, ceramic tile, etc. But I wanted to walk on wide massive boards. Now it is difficult to say where such preference comes from. Maybe case in the memoirs of joyful childhood spent in a rustic house. As follows, in the subconscious desire not to be like everything. This is not about it. I wanted everything here!

Immediately make a reservation that under the "massive" I meant a long sexed board, aged out of a whole piece of wood and having a profile "Schip-groove" in the section. Especially emphasizing it, because often in stores I was offered a parquet board from an array, which was fundamentally different from the desired one. The first visit to the market literally sorrified me: I simply did not have the right boards! Moreover, no one really knew anything about them. ONE STORE I started an independent search for information and material. "Fixing" the Internet of the Internet, shops, markets showed that the desire is feasible. The desired board is found, but firms, producing it and selling, not particularly much.

It turned out that wood is used as hardwood (oak, beech, maple, ash) and coniferous (pine, larch, fir). The board of the array has many advantages. Forward, this is, of course, environmental friendliness, because in the production process, as a rule, no chemicals do not apply. The material provides excellent thermal insulation. The natural tree covered with transparent varnish or oil-wax mastic appears in front of you in all the richness of its natural texture, which makes a special comfort and warmth in the interior. Subject to proper manufacturing, laying and leaving, the floorboard can serve dozens of years.

To the end result justified your expectations, you need to use good quality lumber. It depends on the properties of the three main components: raw materials used woodworking equipment and drying technology. The wood array board should have a humidity of 7-10%, deviations from geometric dimensions may not exceed 0.5 mm. Fastening "Schip-groove" should be provided for two long or all four parties (expensive option). The thickness of such a board is from 18 to 40mm. Inappropriate drop-down swirls, through holes, rot and mold. Healthy ingrown bitches are allowed in the wood not the highest grade.

In the Russian market, a flooring of domestic and imported producers is offered. Large specialized stores trade with imported material at a price of $ 35 / m2 (pine) to $ 100 / m2 (exotic wood). As a rule, such a board has high quality processing and, relatively often, the elements of the Schip-groove in four sides. Some firms supply a plaque treated with paint coatings in the factory.

The domestic floorboard is made mainly from pine, spruce, larch, less often from oak, beech, ash (for the reason for their high cost). Price of high-quality Russian material - from $ 7-10 / m2 (pine) to $ 40 / m2 (larch).

Experts told me that the sex board can be stacked in different ways: on the so-called parquet technology (on the prepared even base, for example, waterproof, chipboard) and lagows. The first method is preferable if the thickness of the board is not more than 25mm and the decrease in the height of the ceilings in the room is undesirable. In this case, the laying of the floor thickness will be 30-40 mm, including waterproofing, phaneur and the board itself. The second way has a number of features, and I would like to stop in more detail. In this case, the thickness of the board should be 25-40mm (depending on the breed and variety of wood), since the material is to withstand a normal load without noticeable deflection. The lack of gender on lags is that he takes 65-90mm altitude at the premises. The collaboration of this method of laying should be given the opportunity to smooth out almost any floor level drops without additional costs and weighting of the structure (accommodation from alignment with cement screed and self-leveling mixtures), carry out communication, wiring, telephone and antenna cables under the floor. For us, this option turned out to be more acceptable for various reasons.

From all the proposed breeds, my wife and I chose the larch, for its excellent consumer properties and environmental friendliness. The floor board of 300010331mm from the Siberian larch was purchased in the Woodworking Firm "Builder" in the Moscow Region Sotischi. Since it was not possible to put six-meter boards in the city apartment, I had to cut them in half. We bought 50m2 of the highest grade material and 50m2 of the first grade (15m2 stock). The difference was that the top grade board did not have bitch, and on the blackboard of the first grade there were healthy ingrown knots. This made it possible to evenly distribute material with a different texture and achieve a natural type of natural tree in all its glory (which is not, for example, on the refined surface of the floor a la la camp).

We were arranged the ratio of price and quality of the board of this manufacturer. When checking, the moisture of larch was 6-7%, which is an excellent indicator for a good parquet. The discrepancies in geometric sizes did not exceed 0.5 mm permissible.

Something about styling technology

Now I will tell you how the long sexual board made from the array in a new apartment located in a monolithic-brick house.

The height of the ceilings from the screed to the upper ceiling was 3.05-3.07m, so the loss of 8cm when using the lag did not seem critical. The first thing was necessary to check the quality of the cement screed made by a monolithic concrete base. Screed, unfortunately, turned out to be bad, had many cracks. By climbing the surface, the screed detection was discovered in many places. The construction organization, which prevailing the house, the disadvantages recognized and at his own expense made the replacement of all damaged sites, which was about 30% of the entire field of the apartment. After repairing the screed, it was necessary to wait as long as the cement solution fully solids (the period corresponding to SNOP) and the moisture of screed and air in the apartment is normalized. As the result it turned out that the difference of concrete floors in all rooms of the apartment with a total area of 100m2 amounted to 1.5 cm. This result can be recognized by non-ideal, but quite acceptable.

Then they started laying the pair-hydro insulation. Punching of insulating material chose foil polyethylene foam (foam) with a thickness of 3mm. It also performs the functions of heat and noise insulation. Afolga to some extent protects rooms from possible electromagnetic emissions. The foofol laid throughout the floor surface, the joints were fastened with adhesive tape.

Laying Lag is one of the most responsible work in the production of floors, since it depends on the strength and durability of the entire structure. Inclusion, the lag was used by the 50100mm bar, which was dried before use and covered with an antiseptic for wood. The humidity of the lag at the time of laying did not exceed 14%. Bruks, which in the process of drying were twisted by the "arc" or "screw", were rejected. Typically, the sex board is placed along the direction of light, but, in fact, the direction of laying can be any, it depends on the solution of the designer and tastes of the customer. However, lags should always be perpendicular to the boards. In this case, the lags were laid perpendicular to the direction of light from the windows.

The distance between the lag axes (it is called) was defined in 50-56 cm. The step depends on the thickness of the board and the tree of the tree used for its manufacture. The thicker and stronger the board, the greater the load it can withstand. ASSO, and the distance between the lags may be more. The lags were fastened to the floor of a dowel-nail length of 120mm every 0.5 m and aligned with wooden linings. There are no time for sale there are adjustable lags, whose leveling is performed by special screws. It simplifies noticeably and speeds up the installation process, but increases the cost of the floor and eats centimeters of the height of the ceilings.

To improve sound insulation and eliminate the humidity of the emptiness of the floor when walking, the distance between the lags was filled with soft wood-fibrous plates in 2-3 layers. For this purpose, other sound insulation materials applicable in residential premises, such as basalt plates "Lightbats", "Shumane", mats from technical cork can be selected. After installing and aligning the lag and laying soft DVPs, it has begun directly to the flooring flooring.

Note that before use, the floorboard should be located in the room where it will be laid, about two weeks. In this case, wood moisture will come in line with the microclimate of the room. Our board lacquered in an apartment about two months, which was caused by delays in other construction work. In this case, the moisture content of the material has practically not changed, which indicated the high-quality drying of the board in the production process.

Before mounting the board, we put on the lanes from the parchment to exclude the friction of the tree about the tree. The first row of boards were mounted with a gap 1-1,5cm from the wall, aligning the strained thread and attaching the board to each lag. The subsequent boards were worn on the thorn, they ignited and screwed themselves with self-draws: hidden, spike, at an angle to the board. The self-samples were selected from such a calculation so that 2/3 of their lengths were in the body of the lag. Holes under the self-tapping screw pre-climbed to avoid chips. Self-savings did not save each board for each lag. The boards were poisoned in such a way that their joints accounted for in the middle of the lag and were located exactly at right angles to the long edge of the board. Time for neat work did not regret, with all thoroughness, pressed joints and tightly tightening the boards with each other. After all, the appearance of the board and the overall impression on the floor depends on the quality of this work.

After laying the board across the apartment, they began grinding and varnishing the surface of the floor. Grinding was produced by the drum machine of domestic production in several passes, with a gradual decrease in the gritting of the grinding ribbon (P80, P100, then P120). Between the first and the second grinding carried out the shtlocking of minor cracks and wood flashes. To do this, a special putty bonamix was used, mixed with wood dust. The crit became completely invisible.

The floor was polished and purified from dust was covered by Parquet semi-lacquer of Beckers (N35) B3Cloe with intermediate grinding. The first layer was applied with a brush, a subsequent special spatula. A high-quality water-based polyurethane lacquer emphasized the naturalness and nobility of natural wood.

Laying the geepboard, despite the seeming simplicity, quite difficult, painstaking work, unconditionally requiring highly qualified performers. Work on laying, grinding and varnishing flooring from the board was performed by Master Alexei Rybakov, who with genuine professionalism reacted to the task set. This predetermined the success of the undertaking and the subsequent joy of the owners.

In conclusion, I can say that the end result justified all the expectations and made you forget about all the troubles related to the choice and acquisition of materials and further work on the flooring of the board. Now in the apartment, a natural Siberian larch shines with all its diverse shades, from light honey to dark pink. The house acquired a completely special comfort, with nothing comparable attractive force. Of course, natural material is to blame for all this, such a natural and warm tree.
