And today, according to the rules, houses of more than nine floors should be equipped with electric stoves. Of course, the number of gasified buildings is still large, but over time it is steadily decreased. But in order to fully appreciate its advantages, it is necessary to acquire a really faithful "helper".

Existing electric stoves can be divided into ordinary (with well-familiar with all cast-iron burners, "pancakes"), glass-ceramic and induction. Confortional plates have now been obscured by this time. A low price is the only advantage - allows them to somehow compete with glass-ceramic. But still the time of the burner models passes, as the time of black and white TVs has passed. For example, in Europe, sales of such plates is less than 5% of sales of all electrical appliances of this series.

Although it is believed that the electric stoves are invented relatively recently, it is not entirely true. The first models appeared in 1908 - precisely at this time the German company AEG reduced individual small facilities for cooking into a single whole.

In the market of imported electric stove at the moment, glass ceramics reigns. Well, it is quite explained - such plates have a lot of advantages over conformal models. The most important thing is the glass-ceramic material has a relatively low thermal inertia. This means that the stove is very quickly warmed up and coolers quickly. Ceran material from which its top panel is made truly wonderful. It has heat-polarizing properties - that is, it works well in a certain direction (in this case, vertical). The panels successfully withstand all types of loads found in normal household conditions. Of course, the punch of a sledgehammer for them is "lothely", but a fallen harm or a hard pot of harm does not cause them. Nevertheless, the stove, of course, requires accurate circulation.

The glass-ceramic is characterized by a smooth surface, which, if necessary, extremely comfortable and easy to clean. Everyone who at least once rubbed his slab from the swirl cocoa, will be able to evaluate this in dignity.

The main lack of glass-ceramic is a high price (up to half the cost of the entire plate). Manufacturing of ceranic plates - the procedure is extremely high-tech. Until now, in Europe there are only two plants for the production of glass-ceramic panels, which are equipped with absolutely all "starrow-referee" electric stoves.

Perhaps some investments will require the replacement of old kitchenware. For electric stoves, pots and frying pan are needed with a smooth bottom, which would well in contact with the working surface. Old curved aluminum bowls with a hillside will be extremely slow to heat up even on the most powerful burner.

According to the principle of operation, the glass-ceramic plates do not differ from their burner "sisters": the heating element produces heat, and the glasskeeper serves as a "gear", replacing the cast-iron "pancake". However, heat sources in the glass-ceramic models are diverse in design. They can be performed, as in the conforing plates, in the form of a wire helix (radial-type burner), and also be special thermoelectric heaters of increased power (Hi-Light burner) or supplied with halogen heaters (halogen burners). The latter, based on infrared radiation, provide faster heating.

To devices that create comfortable working conditions on the stove include the light indicators of the residual temperature, the burners with the form variable in the form of the heating field, programmers, various types of grills, thermopland and blocking "protection of children".

The light temperature indicator indicates that the burner after disconnecting is still heated above a certain temperature (usually 60C). This useful feature allows, on the one hand, to avoid burns, and on the other hand, choose another hot burner and save the cooking time in this way, as well as electricity. Almost all models of electric stove are equipped with respect to the residual temperature, except for the archaic.

For the convenience of culinary work, most of the glass-ceramic plates are equipped with one or two burners with a heating field variable. If necessary, you can increase it or decrease it. Or even give it an oblong shape (the so-called konfork- "Utyar"). In addition, the manufacturers of plates developed Hi-Light technology, which increases the power of the burners by 1.5-2 times.

Modern plates are mostly supplied with devices facilitating the work of the cook: a programmer, a digital indicator of the oven temperature, thermandom. The programmer allows you to specify the necessary time for switching on / off oven or burner and essentially is an advanced timer with the possibility of controlling the temperature mode. The controlling function is also performed by the operating temperature indicator and the thermopland - probe, which is stuck in the "body" of the prepared product and allows you to find out the temperature of its "internal organs".

Most models use the usual rotary heating controls of the burners. These induced currents are excited by an alternating electromagnetic field created by the inductor (coil). The current for the inductor is generated by an electric generator.

For obvious reasons, the oven is rather rapidly polluted, and they have to wash regularly. To facilitate this procedure in some models (COM 5120 VW of AEG, BIP 63 from Brandt et al.) The so-called pyrolysis purification is provided. It ensures the decomposition of fat residues on soluble substances and water under the influence of high temperature. The oven, equipped with this feature, no longer have to drag in the sweat of the face.

If the electrical part to the ovens, as a rule, does not arise complaints, then with the "iron" far from all the plates of affairs are safe. We mean the most trivial nines, doors and mobile mechanisms (spit, grill, etc.). It is very important to check how smoothly, silently and without effort you will be able to pull the baking sheet. And then, you know, to pass off the jammed metal sheet from a hot oven - a lesson, worthy of brave guys from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Some manufacturers offer ovens of a fundamentally new design - in the form of a drawer, in which the opponents are fixed (HL 62053 models, Siemens; HSN 382 B, Bosch; from 968, Asko). Such a device facilitates access to the prepared product, and burn it, on the contrary, it is harder. But this stove requires a larger space, and therefore, not suitable for any kitchen.

Some manufacturers offer combined gas electric plates (part of the burner gas, part electric). This is convenient for regions, in which the gas is periodically disconnected, then electricity. True, to another, coal-wood burner Western manufacturers have not yet thought ...

Another new market is a plate, equipped with two ovens (for example, EK 6171 from Electrolux or CE 9005 from BRANDT). According to the creators, the presence of large and small ovens "will allow you to approach the problem of time and energy resources more rationally." But it seems that such "spirituality" is needed, then far from every mistress.

In our market there are widely represented foreign manufacturers of plates that have long won stable popularity. This is Bosch, Siemens, Miele, AEG (Germany); ELECTROLUX (Sweden); Ariston, Indesit (Italy); Asko (Finland); Gorenje (Slovakia) and many others. It is nice to note that in recent times, domestic "pledgets" was noticeably activated. Now they are also trying to conquer their market sector. The successes of Svi OJSC are especially indicative - they have mastered the release of glass-ceramic models, and the design is quite decent. And the prices, you know, are lower than on similar models from abroad.

The possibility of forced ventilation gives electrophists a big advantage over the ovens of gas - after all, in the latter, it is impossible to blow the chamber because of the danger to extinguish the flame. As a result, many gas plates have recently been also supplied with electrical ovens.

Since electric stoves deal with electromagnetic fields, the question is, the question is, is not harmful to this technique for our health. So, all electrical appliances sold in Russia are subject to sanitary and hygienic certification, during which the types of their impact on humans are checked. If the goods have a hygienic certificate, security is guaranteed (of course, subject to the operational rules).
