Tan in boilers work in difficult conditions and even with proper operation may fail once every 3-4 years (with daily use). Well, if you relate to these details completely carelessly, the service life can be reduced to several months. The main problem of their failure is the rapid destruction of the housing due to overheating, which is most often caused by masting. To avoid damage to technology, it is necessary to take measures to prevent the appearance of scale.
1 Install the filters on the water heater pipe
First of all, water purification from salt salts is necessary. It can be carried out, for example, as a general range of water treatment measures of all water coming into the house. In addition, on the incoming nozzle of the water heater, the simple mechanical cleaning filters should be installed so that the contamination does not fall into the technique.Manufacturers in Europe, Russia and China are engaged in the production of TANN. According to the cost, European products are obtained about 1.5 times more than Chinese, and the domestic falls into the price gap between them. 2 Clean the TEN timely
It is recommended to clean the TEN once every 2-3 years, with intensive operation, it is possible annually. Usually this procedure is combined with the replacement of magnesium anode, which is a consumable element that prevents the inner walls of the corrosion tank. The tan and magnesium anode are usually attached on the flange connection at the bottom of the tank, therefore it is desirable that the boiler is installed so that it is enough space for pulling the flange and the Tan. Cleaning can be carried out as a mechanical method (for example, very neat, with the help of soft metal cords), and using chemicals for dissolving scale (say, based on citric acid). In boilers with dry tena (for example, in Anlantic water heaters), the tanes do not come into contact with water and do not bump, but you need to clean the metal flask in which they are installed. This flask is also attached on the flange connection along with the magnesium anode.
Access to Tan is located at the bottom of the boiler, so before dismantling do not forget to drain the water.

Tan cleaning does not represent a special difficulty, but, in general, a sufficiently troublesome operation that requires care and experience. All workshop should be done on the equipment off from the network (it is desirable that the boiler is connected to the network through a separate circuit breaker and RCD). It is especially important to correctly orient the flange when installing in the same position as when disassembling (pay attention, in which position is the flange, before removing it). Therefore, if you are not sure about your technical abilities, better contact the specialists. An experienced master can also be able to determine the state of the magnesium anode and say whether it is time to change it.
Unscrew the flange mount and remove the old Ten as carefully, so as not to clog the insides of the tank by chance with corrosion scales.
Then make a visual inspection of the tank, tan and magnesium anode. If it is impossible for the further use of the Tan and the magnesium anode, they are replaced with new details.
After cleaning and installing all parts in place, in no case do not turn on the boiler until it fill it with water. Otherwise, the TEN can immediately overcome.
3 Do not heated the water above 60 ° C
A simple way to reduce the formation of scale is not to heat the water in the tank above 60 ° C. After all, it is formed only in very hot water, and, say, at 55 ° C, its appearance is practically excluded. Yes, and safer like this: too hot water can be dangerous if you accidentally open the crane. True, in water at temperatures below 60 ° C, some bacteria can develop. If the tank does not provide protection from bacteria (for example, in the form of a coating with silver ions), then 1-2 times a month it is recommended to bring the temperature of the water in the tank to the maximum.
