This apartment is 35 square meters. M (if not counting the loggia) is intended for short-term lease. The budget for repairs and the situation was limited, an affordable materials used in the decoration, and something from the furniture bought "from the hands" - on the advertisement boards on the Internet.
Customers and tasks
The apartment is located in the residential quarter of UP Commendatsky in St. Petersburg. Owners plan to hand over her short-term rental. Estimated tenants - a young couple or family up to four people.
Among the tasks that stood before the designer Natalia Zakharova, there was an accommodation of a living room and a bedroom zone, a separate kitchen with a dining group for four people. The living room had to be a folding sofa so that, if necessary, the guests could sleep.
Redevelopment
Redevelopment was minimal. Moved the entrance to the room from the corridor to fit the double bed and comfortably arrange the wardrobe in the hallway.
Also removed the bottomroom block in the kitchen and replaced it to panoramic French glazing with the door - so that it was possible to get out of the kitchen on the loggia. The heating battery was moved closer to the corner of the wall and hidden behind the curtain.
Finish
According to the author of the project, the decoration was chosen so that she would not look cheap. But at the same time it was sufficiently affordable. Based on these requirements for the walls of the bathroom and the apron of kitchen, a ceramic stonework, imitating marble, was chosen.
The floor in all other premises is an entrance hall, a kitchen, a room is decorated with laminate with the Iimitation of Parquet "Christmas tree". "Laying on the entire area of the apartment with a single web visually makes the room more, it does not work it into pieces," comments the designer's decision.
The walls are painted with the washing paint of Russian production with satin effect, in the bathroom, part of the walls are also painted.
The entrance door from the developer did not change the considerations of savings, but that she harmoniously fit into the situation, the designer painted her herself - the same paint that was chosen for the walls.
Furniture and storage systems
Since the apartment is designed for short-term lease, storage systems are a bit.
The main is a high wardrobe in the hallway, divided into several sections, where you can store almost all: from clothes to cleaning facilities. In one of the parts, the router and electric boards are hidden.
In the bathroom for storing cosmetics and important trifles, like a hair dryer, a stand is installed, in the same place, in the bottom box, the designer has provided a place for laundry basket and washing tools (the washing machine is installed immediately, under a single tabletop with a table). In addition, an additional place of storage of household chemicals and bath accessories can be a wardrobe on the installation of the toilet.
The bed in the room was chosen in the lifting mechanism, bed linen sets are placed inside. The TV cabinet can also be an additional storage system.
With furniture in this interior is not so simple. As the designer itself is recognized, they acquired a lot from the hands - on the Internet sites. I was looking for new things that did not come up with their former owners (by the way, something from the finish and plumbing also found this way).
"In the process of repair, we periodically monitored sites in search of the things we need," Natalia shares. - So, the very first large purchase was a sofa with a puff of production of the Letti Bene factory with an upholstery of the color of dusty rose. The previous owner made a sofa to order, but did not guess with the size, and we, and it, and the pouf approached the ideal and allowed to save 30% of the price of the same new. "
Also with hands purchased a dining table. The chairs with a soft upholstery bought ready, and the kitchen was chosen in IKEA. With her, by the way, not everything was just just just. "There was a moment when we realized that for the installation of the kitchen, we lack a pair of centimeters. As you know, IKEA has a limited range of enclosures and facades in size. And so that everything perfectly fell, we had to shoot down 2 cm plaster on the one hand. Thus, it turned out a non-standard situation: we drove the room under the kitchen, not the kitchen under the room, "the author said.
Gray is the main color in this interior, which dilute point, but large pink accents. "I took the gray color that was so harmonious with the sky of St. Petersburg. From the windows of the apartment overlooking the stunning pink sunsets. So the second color was chosen. There was a fear that the color scheme is strongly "girl" and will scare men who could book an apartment. However, we risked, and not in vain. Practice has shown that many men do not think with stereotypes: even the solo travelers of the male can quite often book the apartment, "Natalia shares.
Lighting
In the interior, several light scenarios were thought out. The kitchen is an accent chandelier over the table and the illumination of the working surface. The room is a ceiling chandelier, a table lamp in the working area and a sconce in the headboard. Also above the bed dot luminaires.
Designer Natalya Zakharova, project author:
We wanted to make a modern one, a glamorous interior, so that he would look expensive and at the same time combined with a gorgeous view of the modern Petersburg and the highest skyscraper of Europe - "Lakhta Center". Using velvet's upholsters of furniture, metal elements, marble (in our case of imitation) against the background of light walls is characteristic of ar-deco. The direct laconic cabinet lines in the hallway, kitchen furniture and chest in the living room make the interior more modern, concise and minimalistic.
