White walls, minimalistic furniture and lighting scenarios, a small amount of decor - in this apartment a lot of light and air.
Customers and tasks
The apartment is located in the area of Sofiyevskaya Borschagovka on the border with Kiev. Owners - Young couple. They work at home, love to play the prefix and invite guests. Customers wanted to create a free interior with a minimum of details and minimalistic design. A specific wish is the absence of a bed (they wanted to restrict the mattress). For the creation of the interior, the owners appealed to the studio Lauri Brothers. Designers Yuri and Sergey Lauri and Dmitry Roganov worked on the project.
Redevelopment
Apartment - two-level. According to the original plan, at the first level there are a kitchen-living room, a bathroom and a balcony, and on the second - a bedroom, a storage room and a bathroom. There are several changes in the layout. So, the bottom block was removed and expanded the opening by attaching the balcony to the room. They built a septum, separating the hallway zone from the living room. A slightly changed the borders of the bathroom on the first floor, on the second floor they increased the bathroom and divided the storage room on the dressing room and the wigner. As the authors of the project explained, the rules of redevelopment of residential apartments in Ukraine allow you to agree on these decisions.
Finish
Finishing materials are quite simple - they correspond to the concept of Scandinavian minimalism. The walls are painted with white paint, laminate laminate, wet zones and an entrance hall with tiles are laminated on the floor. A significant role in the decoration is given plywood. She is decorated with window slings, partially trimmed balcony. Also largely used the lining - she was prevented by the ceiling on the second (mansard) level.
Furniture and storage systems
In the interior, some furniture - only the most necessary. So, a wardrobe in a niche is built into the hallway, which was formed as a result of changing the borders of the bathroom. For storage of kitchen utensils, a spacious linear kitchen with an island is thought out. Opposite the sofa under the stairs made a small storage system with closed boxes and open shelves. The bedroom for storage has a pantry-dressing room.
The lack of bed is one of the features of this interior, unusual eye. But so wanted customers. In order not to leave on the floor mattress, the authors of the project designed a small podium from plywood with soft sides.
Lighting
Light scenarios are as minimalistic as finishing. But diverse. So, the overall light in the hallway kitchen is resolved by built-in point lamps. Additional scenarios are implemented in the kitchen - backlight under the upper wardrobes, above the dining table - a suspended lamp, in the sofa area - Wall-mounted flat sconce. In the bedroom, in addition to several ceiling tracks and the sheds, the bed has garland - it is laid along the whole wall with a window.
Color
There are almost no bright colors in the interior. The kitchen-living room highlights a dining group and pillows on the sofa, blue textiles highlighted a soft place on the balcony. In the bedroom, the color accent is the blue upholstery under the bed. Basically, the palette is built on a combination of white and wood.
Designer Yuri Lauri, one of the authors of the project:
The challenge was to create a cozy and spacious interior. We were inspired by the stylistics of Scandinavian apartments, while the "referee" their concept of minimalism geometry. Furniture forms are characterized by conciseness, the premises are not overloaded with decor - we only involved a couple of colors accents. Scandinavian style in the interiors can be traced through the use of wood textures, as well as an abundance of white color, diluted with indoor plants. Thanks to the tandem of these parts, we managed to create an unobtrusive, but at the same time homely friendly design.
