What weight is withstanding an acrylic pallet and why is it necessary to strengthen?
Products are manufactured by thermal-forming from a sheet material with a thickness of 4-6 mm. But they are not sufficiently rigid, bend, therefore they need additional strengthening - reinforcement, and during installation - in strengthening to give greater sustainability. Cheap thin-walled products are especially vulnerable (less than 4 mm thick). Let's talk about how to enhance the design. On average, the reinforced pallet withstands the weight of up to 160 kg.
3 ways to strengthen acrylic pallet
1. Reinforcement of the bottom
Most European manufacturers pay due attention to the problem of reinforcement of the bottom. One of the effective methods for giving rigidity is the reinforcement of the bottom (outside).

Reinforcement (extension of the layer or layer) is performed as follows. After the design of the structure from the mold on the outer surface, a heated mixture of epoxy or polyester resin with fiberglass (Kapron thread) is applied. Cooling, this composition significantly increases the pallet strength. The thicker layer, the stronger the product. Some European manufacturers use double reinforcement.
The cost of models from acrylic depends on the thickness of the reinforced layer. For the manufacture of high-quality products, you need to apply two or three reinforcing fiberglass layers. 2. Using hard polyurethane foam
Another method is equally effective, based on the use of hard polyurethane foam: they are poured all the bottom, giving the necessary rigidity and excluding deformation. In addition, the insulation of the product is improved. The pallet with such an amplification is withstanding considerable weight. But at the same time the design is pretty light.

3. Strengthening ribbon ribs (frame)
Another popular option is to strengthen with special ribs (frame) of rigidity made of steel and bottled in the pallet from the outside, so that the product is able to withstand the load to 160 kg. If the design, in addition to the reinforcement, is complemented by a separate metal or plastic support frame, then it will make holes for screwing legs
When screwing the legs (from three to five), remember that they should be longer than the drain system siphon and perform from the bottom of the pallet at about equal distances.

If legs are not provided in the design, you can build, elevation of bricks on a concrete solution. At the same time, the height of the base should exceed the height of the flow level, and before installing the pallet, it is necessary to mount the drain system. Often, a special metal frame is proposed included, equipped with legs that have altitudinal adjustment (the position is fixed by locking elements). Accessories can also be purchased separately.
In addition, there are support systems from foamed polyester, increasing the cost of the pallet by about 30%, but but preventing the deformation of the product. In the most expensive models, the manufacturer often uses both. But in such cases, it is not worth saving: the repair of the pallet with dismantling and the subsequent installation is harder and will no longer be cheap.
And one more nuance: in any case, it is necessary to provide unimpeded access to the sewer pipes.
When buying an acrylic pallet, specify whether the frame with adjustable legs is included. At the same time, pay special attention to the number of legs: there should be five of them. Nevertheless, the set of frame base often provides for only four extreme legs, and under the central part there is no support at all. In this case, it will have to make an additional fifth support.
