Why creak doors in the apartment and what to do about it

Intercomed

The problem in the room is most often arising for the following reasons.

• Lack of bearings in the loop. Remove the sash, put the balls and install everything back.
• Displacement. This happens in new buildings when shrinking at home or simply over time in any apartment.
• Few fixed fittings.

The last reason can be eliminated by simply pulling nuts. If the holes are loosened, use one of the following methods.

• Self-tapping screw 12 cm with a suitable hat. Screw them through the jamb so that they entered the wall.
• Self-timber 5 or 7.5 cm, screwed at a low angle (less than 20 °).
• Wood plugs. Cut the suitable size plugs, spread them with a small amount of glue for wood and carefully drive into the jamb. Cut the excess and with a thin drill to do holes for screws.
• Screws of larger diameter, dowel and sleeves, lubricated with glue.

When driving the wizards, be careful. Wood on the box can split. That this does not happen, slightly knock on the plugs with a hammer, until glue is gluable above the surface. Everything else can be cut off.

Entrance

First, what can be done when the metal entrance door creaks and why it happens.

• Garbage in loops or rust. Typically, such a canvas not only creaks, but it is also hard and closed. You need to blow the parts with a hairdryer and lubricate them. Work without eccentric

When there is no eccentric, the task is slightly complicated. The sequence of actions in this case will be like this:

• Using the cross screwdriver, loosen 1-2 medium loops and the one is closest to the place of friction (a creaking sound is heard near her and there is a scuff).
• Gently move towards yourself and move back to the box of the sash.
• Tighten the adjusting nut on the leftmost loop.
• Slowly shook the cloth so that the loops get into place, screw them.
• Open and close the sash several times. If the creak does not disappear - repeat the entire second time.

And another instruction - for plastic cloths. Problems with PVC sash usually arise due to the fact that it is not adjusted.

Balcony

So, your plastic door to the balcony creaks, what to do in this case? In addition to the lack of lubricant, the design can creak for several reasons:

• Poor fastening loops. You just need to fix them.
• Schedule or shift sash. This happens when it is often discovered and closed.
• Poor-quality or worn fittings.

In the latter case, the problem can be solved only by replacing parts, but you can align the canvas yourself. To do this, you will need an ordinary hexagon. How and what to lubricate the door so that the loops do not creak

Often you can meet the advice to use vegetable or olive oil for lubrication. It is better not to do this. Nothing terrible will not happen, but there will be no effect. The next day or a little later, the creak will appear again, as the oil will quickly pollute and lose its properties.

Another "folk" way to eliminate unpleasant sound - pieces of pencil stylus. There are waxes in their composition and therefore they can become lubricant. Griffel needs to be cooled and put under the loop. You can mix it with any oil. This method is often used for plastic flaps on the balcony. As a temporary measure, a liquid soap, wax or paraffin from the candle (they need to be pre-melted).

The best lubricants for loops

They can be sold in special tubes or ordinary containers. In the first case, apply the tool is very simple. In the second, you can use the usual syringe. Thick agents are applied with wooden or cotton wand.

• "Solidol". Does not lose its properties at low temperatures and therefore suitable for metal doors in a private house.
• Litol. It has the same characteristics as solidol.
• "CIATIM". Not only lubricates parts, but also prevents the appearance of rust.
• WD-40. Aerosol with an anti-corrosion effect. It is easy to use - in the kit there is a spray tube.
• Graphite lubricant. Practically does not lose its properties over time. It often recommends the masters.
• Silicone Grease. Also resistant to low and high temperatures is easy to apply.
• Oil for sewing machines.
• Machine oil for engines.

This is not all you can lubricate the loop if the door creaks. In stores selling dirt-repellent, cleansing, anti-corrosion fluids and aerosols in comfortable packages.

How to grease loops without removing them

The sequence of actions is the same for almost all mechanisms. You will need a lever, wedge, tool for applying lubricant, clean rag. Sometimes - a means for cleaning rust.

It is desirable that the selected oil or spray has a long spout packaging. But you can do without it. Usually grabs one or two drops of fluid to remove the creaking. It is not recommended to lubricate accessories with hands - it is possible to curse with a sudden closure from a draft or negligence. However, the wedge solves this problem.

• Open the flap of the lap and put something on it. In order not to spoil the floor covering - the bed on it is a soft tissue.
• With the lever, slightly lift the cloth.
• Clean the details, apply lubricant on them. Will erase surplus.
• Remove the wedge, open and close the doors several times so that the remedy is evenly distributed.

Note. On PVC, in addition to fastening fittings, linings on it are also cleaned, covered with a closer. Drinking elements of the closer need to be treated with oil. The same is recommended to do with handle and clamping items.

If after that the problem did not disappear and the hinges are collapsible - try to remove the entire design or pull the rod out of the loop and rinse it inside. The rod is the average element in the mechanism. Sometimes it can be removed with your fingers, but the pliers are most often required.

Uncine or hidden accessories can only be treated with oil. If it did not help - perhaps the cause of the problem is different or details were worn out and they need to be replaced.

How to lubricate double-sided loops

• Open the flap of the latch.
• Fill or spray oil from a thin tube or syringe. Usually in such mechanisms there are special holes in the rod.
• Sliver the cloth so that the fluid is distributed over all elements.

What to do with a squeak of sliding design

In this case, the reason lies in guide or wheels. You need to simply clean the guide, but the wheels will have to disassemble.

• Remove the rollers.
• Disassemble them to see bearings.
• Treat any means and assemble back.
