Owners and tasks
This apartment is 54 square meters. m belongs to the author of the project, Designer Natalia Mitatakova, as well as a spouse and their twenty-year-old daughter. "We are passionate about the travels on American south, culture and kitchen Louisiana, well, and our favorite business - interior design," the designer's story starts.Adult daughter - Orientalist, studies Japanese and culture of the country of the rising sun. It was necessary to arrange two bedrooms and a combined kitchen-dining room.
Planning
According to the original plan, the apartment has two isolated rooms and a spacious kitchen, a separate bathroom. Reference did not do. Only stitched a niche of 1 square in the kitchen to enter a P-shaped kitchen headset. Also from innovations: Wardrobe in the master bedroom and niche under the wardrobe in the hallway zone.
To fulfill the wishes of your family and the need for two separate bedrooms, Natalia decided to abandon a separate living room. But its functions compensated for a dining area in the kitchen. There have been placed a comfortable sofa on which you can even sleep, and folding table.

"As I knew that the interior would be bright and eclectic, for the walls in the total zone decided to choose a light neutral background. But with plot walls. I did not want wallpapers in a realistic manner, I wanted graphics, naive and light irony. So we added three raccoons watching us from the thickets in the dining area. In the bedroom, I used the yellow-olive shade of paint, since the room with a loggia is not very bright. I wanted to get the atmosphere of warm, sunproof, enveloping space. The daughter's room is light, she likes bright interiors. She has a large collection of Japanese posters, they fill the room with a sufficient number of color, "Natalia comments.
Registration of window slopes with mirrors - unplanned reception, but, according to the owner of the apartment, very good. Initially, planned to make the windowsill, slope and the screen for the battery from oak, into the tone of the floor covering, but the contractors did not fulfill their obligations. Therefore, the windowsill turned out to be stone, and the slopes are mirrored.
Furniture and storage systems
Storage systems are dispersed in the apartment. So, in the input zone there were two cabinets. One is shallow at the entrance, he visually dissolved in a small space of the hallway, the facades partially walked the same wallpaper as the walls. And on top of the shelf for books with a folding glass door. "I have a lot of books," adds Natalya. "But a full-fledged library could not be placed in this apartment, so I used any opportunity to place them." The second cabinet in the hallway is built into a niche, the facades are mirrored.

When entering the bedroom, a small dressing room was separated. The space zoned the louvred partition painted in the color of the walls. Almost all furniture items to the apartment are vintage. The author of the project admits that it nourishes special weakness to them, and in its own apartment was able to raise: "In these items, we invest so much time, forces and tools that they sometimes go much more expensive than new ones, but it is worth it. They will not meet anywhere else. For example, our KNOLL DROP-END Sofa sofa. It is not enough that he is incredibly comfortable and beautiful, with brass cones and pickups with tassels, armrests are being thrown away, due to which it becomes longer. And, if you remove the pillows on the back, it can be very comfortable to spend the night. I am also pleased with the vintage Dutch dining table, it is a compact size, but it is described, it allows you to place a couple of guests. Vyvrani chairs also look very impressive. "
The chair behind the work desk in the bedroom is an antique, 19th century. "I found it in the roadside of my partners in a terrible condition, it was more a hint of a chair. It stood for several years, deputy film. But there was a restorer, who for an adequate amount took him to work, and the chair found, finally, a new life, "says Natalia.
Many furniture moved along with the owners from the old apartment. "I have been buying successful or rare many years, in my opinion, new and old small objects of furniture, even if they don't need them and there are nowhere to put. From the part of these items and almost the entire interior gathered. Newly there were only a bed in the daughter's room, a writing table and a chair in the bedroom. And lamps, "says Natalia.
The chair in the home daughter's room found on the site ads on the Internet. "It has fascinated us with an unusual shape, the metal was rusty, the tree on the armrests is cutting. My husband removed the old paint and rust from the metal, painted it and restored wooden details of the armrests, "the author of the project clarifies.
Lighting
In the apartment basic point lighting. The bedroom also has bedside lamps. In the daughter's room - a small suspended lamp on the ceiling. And in the kitchen - chandelier over the dining table. "I love big chandeliers, but the height of the ceilings did not allow me to roast (the ceilings in the apartment - 245 cm, approx. Editors). Natalia and his family brought them from travel - for example, one of the paintings in the kitchen, with the image of the butterfly - a gift from the famous artist from New Orleans, Sarah Ashley Longshore. And above the bed in the bedroom - a linograph of another master, also from America, Kati Vaz. A canvas above the sofa in the dining area - the work of Natalia Rodonovskaya. It became the starting point in choosing a palette for the kitchen.

Apartment style - eclectic modern classic. I did not think about the trends and colors of Pantone, I just wanted to collect everything I love in one place. This is some jazz of styles and items. We used the classic architectural decor (plinth, moldings, cornice), classic, but not overloaded furniture (kitchen with frames and staps). For me, this apartment is like an album of the most pleasant memories: bright accents, eclectic selection of furniture, decor and art from all over the world remind me of multicultural, motley new Orleans. And the wild swamp of Louisiana was reflected in the author's wallpaper with cypresses, Spanish moss and raccats that we came up with the artist Katya Lobanova.
