1. Strengthen the stairs
In my experience in Soviet houses, the staircase was always narrow and very cool. When rewriting it is important to change the angle of the stairs to more gently, make wide steps. 2. Reduce corridors

3. Combine the kitchen with the living room

At home without a veranda, I do not consider dacha at all, only the city house can look like. If there is no veranda in the house, it is necessary to attach it, it is there that in the summer it is literally all life. Ideally, there must be a veranda under the roof, which will be out of the kitchen or from the living room, as well as an additional outdoor terrace in the sun, since the sun in most regions are not so much, but I want to warm up.
5. Check and update the fireplace

Old vintage furniture must be saved, it is now very fashionable. I restore it in my projects. If the furniture does not represent values, you can repaint it with all the same covering paint. And the furniture of the domestic producer is inexpensive - for example, in one of its projects I chose the furniture of the Belarusian natural color producer and repainted its beautiful gray-green color with a patina.3.
