Using color and minor changes in the setting, designers managed to give a traditional log house completely new appearance.
A solid two-storey log house was exclusively expensive to its owners: for those 15 years, which went from the moment of its construction, along with relatives and friends they were accustomed to meet there New Year. However, the owners themselves, and their loved ones loved to visit here and at another time. Neverthewes, they took their own, and many decisions implemented during the arrangement of the cottage are morally outdated. The interior needed updating, albeit not the cardinal. For professional help, the owners appealed to Designer Tatiana Astafyeva: She specialized in the design of wooden buildings, and therefore could offer a plan of minimal, but effective intervention.
Construction features
Provide the story of the "renovation" - that way, Tatyana Astafieva calls her work on this logberon - the story of the technologies used in its construction. As the basis for a two-storey cottage from a rounded log, a combined boron-brute foundation was chosen using a monolithic plate. Despite the relatively small cumulative mass of the construction, the hosts abandoned the usual cluminal, pile or belt support for such a building. Because of the bunched soils, the "Rent" would have to drain, that is, the costs of construction would increase. In addition, draft floors would have to layer in engineering communications. The combined base provided the stability of a wooden house, and the addition in the form of a monolithic plate, heated below the polystyrene foam, simplified the gasket of water supply and sewerage pipes, as well as an electrical cable.
Elements, of which, like a constructor, was going to house, were made on high-precision factory equipment, with a minimal gap. In order to carefully build the structure, a smooth surface was required. Even insignificant, a few millimeters, the standing of the foundation would provide a change in the level, which would affect the already assembled home.
Therefore, as a base for a two-storey cottage, a combined boron-brute foundation was chosen using a monolithic plate. Yes, today some complaints could cause the diameter of rounded logs - 220 mm: now in the middle lane of Russia, when erecting seasonal houses, preference is given to brings a little more diameter - 240-260 mm. However, the difference is insignificant.
Most furniture items: tables, stands and even a kitchen set - repainted and supplemented with new fittings (handles).
Planning
A planning solution remains very thoughtful. According to him, public spaces are concentrated on the first floor, a separate guest room with a plumbing room located next door, auxiliary volumes (entrance hall, economic premises). The dominant role here is assigned a huge (almost 45 square meters. M) living room, which smoothly flows into a spacious dining room. From the latter, you can get on the covered, but not a glazed terrace designed to relax in the warm season. The second floor is fully private: with three main bedrooms and a bathroom.
A hue of Agave prevails in the master bedroom: the paint of this tone is covered with a wall behind the headboard and ceiling beams. Other furniture items have similar, but more rich tone, textiles are selected in contrast - wine-colored.
Design
Let us return to the process of "renovation". Given the restrictions that were superimposed by the hosts, the only possible way to transform space designers seeing working with color, since with the right approach, through coloring techniques, you can visually push the boundaries of the premises, change the mood and perception of rooms. To determine the starting point, the base of the colorful composition, the designers turned to the owners, and the hostess chose a mint tone (Agave 75), which, it should be noted, became an excellent basis for bright accents and allowed to create harmonious combinations with cream, powdered, gray and yellow shades. .
In one of the maiden bedrooms, a mint tone (it, by the way, a bit) is supplemented by powdered and gray-blue shades. To complete the coloristic composition, it took to move the headboard bed. Patterns on it fills the drawing of curtains and pillows.
According to the initial intention, it was not planned to change the situation. But as it's work on the project, it became obvious that some furniture items need to be replaced, and some - in the update. Those that remained were adapted to the new interior: wooden elements are sanded, polished and repainted in the desired shades, the soft furnishings are pulled by a cloth of suitable tones and drawings. So, in the combined space of the living room, dining room and kitchen accent, mint, made a staircase, doors and a kitchen set, and a neutral cream was used to design beams. To make intrigue, the decor added elegant blue sofas RLPH LAUREN, burgundy tables and a designer carpet from wool and silk. In the bedrooms, twin daughters were accepted otherwise. In one to the color of Agava, powder and gray-blue shades were added, to the other turned to yellow and gray tones.
The color palette of the guest bedroom eats a colorful solution of the first, representative floor: neutral cream with a few mint accents and a bright contrast tone - violet.
Outdoor and internal coloring
Although now there is no shortage of lesing and observing compositions for wooden surfaces, the architect preferred products of proven brands: Biofa's melted oil and Tikkurila paint. By the way, not to be disappointed in the paint products of this kind, professionals are recommended to perform trials, using a special billet of two-three short logs, imitating the fragment of the wall. When the composition is completely dry, it is easy to evaluate a shade at different angles and with different lighting, as well as check the resulting coating for abrasibility and resistance to moisture: such should not be washed off with a dishwasted sponge with moderate nazh.
The cabinet under the sink in the bathroom, carefully saved from the former interior, painted in a bright tone, which supported textiles.

With these customers, we are already working for the first time, so we can say that by contacting me with a request to update the dacha, they knew what to expect. However, like me. The interior of the house is, by the way, is about two hours away from the capital, in a very picturesque place - really outdated, but continued to remain cozy and truly beloved. That is why we changed the minimum: brought bright colors into the space, supplemented it with the missing objects of furniture or revised those that had. The fire regiment became a stumbling block. The old, reddish, the color fit into the updated interior with the stretch, but the new one could not immediately - it took an inspection of an almost completed object. It was decided that the shelf should be painted in a burgundy tone, corresponding to the color of the tables and the palette of the picture on the wall. The hosts doubted, but the offer was still accepted and, as it turned out to the New Year holidays, did not regret - the guests appreciated the elegant living room.
