When summer comes, eternal concerns of gloomy begin: weeding and watering. Watering technology is simple: lowered the pump in a barrel with heated during the day with water, stuck the plug of the pump into the socket and move along the beds with the hose. However, the hose at this time behaves like a capricious child: it will start in the knot, it will twist, it will break, and it clings for everything that can. When moving from beds to the garden, you must ensure that the hose does not damage tomatoes, cucumbers and other landings. In general, I wondered how to make the water tower with my own hands, organize watering, and at the same time and solve a number of other problems.
Drip iris system
Now there are many drip irrigation systems on the market. The simplest and, in my opinion, are successful, represent a system of hoses with drip dispensers, fittings for connecting to a pressure tank and cranes for switching water supply to a particular bed.
As a pressure tank, it is recommended to use a container, raised above the surface of the Earth to a height of at least 1 m. The capacity of the capacity should be sufficient for watering the entire garden. The use of water supply is undesirable due to low water temperature, harmful plants. In the pressure tank, water in one or two days heats up to an acceptable temperature and does not create a stressful situation to landings. Thus, it is possible to formulate minimum requirements for mini-water tower:
- The volume should be sufficient for a single watering of the entire garden;
- Material of Olzhen be resistant to the effects of ultraviolet radiation;
- Color for faster heating should be dark;
- The material should not be transparent, otherwise the water is rapidly blooms and the casing of green algaes grows in the tank;
- By location, the installation height should be at least 1 m above the ground level, or even more.
Choosing a tank
When calculating the desired volume, I learned the need for watering (~ 350 l) and 30-50 liters for technical needs: car wash, adding water to a children's pool, water for cleaning the premises, etc.
After analyzing the characteristics and prices of the products offered by domestic producers, I stopped on a black tank from the ATV-750 Middle Treatment polyethylene with a volume of 750 liters of Aquatech. It is equipped with two 3/4 threaded fittings and one threaded fitting 1 ". Additionally, in the upper part there is a technological hole Ø 34 mm.

The tower I made from the pipes of a square and rectangular cross section with a thickness of the walls of at least 2 mm. Such thickness is necessary to ensure reliable welding without burning walls. As a rule, manufacturers of the steel profile in order to save the thickness of the rolling are made within the minimum tolerance, and instead of 2 mm it reaches 1.5 mm.
The tower made 2.29 m height in the form of a truncated pyramid and with an angle at 85 ° (Fig. 1). It was technologically easier to make in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped, but I was categorically not satisfied with the appearance of such a design. Fears in the complexity of welding truncated pyramid turned out to be in vain. Subject to the exact calculation of the angle at the base of the tower and the length of the racks, as well as the exact cutting of them in size in length and the corners, the pyramid is obtained by itself.

The strange, at first glance, the height (2.29 m) of the tower is due to the length of the steel profile of the steel profile, equal to 6 m. With these sizes, it was required 12 m of a 60 × 60 × 3 mm profile.

The base I made from a rectangular pipe of 80 × 40 × 2 mm, to the upper and lower angles, the separations of the profile of 40 × 40 × 2 mm were tapped. The top platform was welded from residual pipes 60 × 40 × 2 mm. The racks of the fence made 40 × 40 × 2 pipes; for the fence, the corners of 50 × 50 × 4 mm remained for the fence; One of them is removable, attached with bolts and nuts. Made it that it would be convenient to put and remove the tank.

Based on the tower - a concrete plate with a thickness of 15 cm, in which two layers of the reinforcement grid of 50 × 50 × 5. The plate floated on a sandy pillow with a thickness of 15 cm. Fastening the frame of the tower to the foundation plate was welded to the rods of reinforcement, mixed in concrete. The rise of the tank weighing 24 kg to the tower did not cause any problems, however, before putting the water tower at the cottage, the part of the fittings was mounted.

Scheme of the strapping of water reinforcement is shown in Fig. 2, 3. To fill the tank, the pump hose or external water pipeline is connected to the plaster 4 and water along the metal-plastic pipe 19 (Ø 20 mm) through the fitting and is served in the tank. To control filling, a transparent tube 5 of polychlorvinyl is used. When overflowing water merges through the fitting 1 and tee 3.

I montaped fittings I'm in three stages. First, on the workbench in the vice collected individual nodes, using flax and a special sealant, and then put them on the tank. Threaded fittings A, B and B, installed on the tank, are only granted. Four speakers were made on the inner surface of the fittings, allowing to protect the fitting at the time of tightening.

A special tool for holding the fitting neither in stores, or in the construction market, I did not find, so it successfully used the chisels chosen.
In the third stage, after installing the tank in place, I connected the previously installed nodes between the pipes 13 and 19.
