At the heart of the modular layout system of the cooking surface lies the idea to make individual heating elements (burners). The buyer independently decides how much he needs heating elements, what type, size and power. Based on these requirements, the necessary elements-modules are selected. Thus, it turns out a very flexible system, which allows you to accurately adapt the collecting cooking surface to the needs of the owners.

Each module is standardized in size block, a kind of minibuable width of the width is usually 30 cm, twice as standard (60 cm). On such a pail surface, one or two zones of heating (burners) of different types are placed. Modules are also available with additional functions. For example, embedded brazier (grills) of various types (contact grills, grills with barbecue type), fryers. Or already mentioned wok burners for cooking Asian dishes. Modules with embedded hoods are also available. In general, the choice is quite wide - say, in the assortment of Miele, AEG and Gaggenau companies that are most actively engaged in the release of such modules, there are up to a dozen modules of different types.

The name Domino appeared for the first time at Siemens and became nominal. In any case, if you come to the store and ask about the presence of "Domino's cooking panels", the sellers will understand you. But do not forget that other manufacturers may have their own names, for example, Miele has a Combi modules or a broad (45 cm) of the PROLINE modules.

The layout of the hob of several modules allows you to solve a variety of tasks. You can, for example, collect a mixed gas-electrical cooking surface, if you live in a country cottage and with electricity there may be interruptions. Or establish one module with traditional electric heaters-in-law, and the other with induction heaters (if, say, you have a lot of dishes that are not suitable for induction heating). Or you can, on the contrary, restrict ourselves to one module, if, let's say, you are planning a compact kitchen for a small apartment. Planning options are limited only to the maximum load that the electricity can withstand. Therefore, manufacturers do not recommend installing too much modules: three or four blocks, no more.
