Assembled projects, where the sleeping places carried under the ceiling and learned the designer's opinion - to whom this decision suits and is it worth it.
In our selection - Russian and foreign projects. In them, the bedroom was put on a classic mezzanine - where you can get in full growth, but there are examples of projects where the mezzanine is just an add-in with the location of only the mattress.
1 apartments in the building of the former factory
These apartments are located in the Moscow LCD Kleinhouse - the building of the former tearessive factory. High ceilings (4.2 meters) allowed the author of the project, Yulia Sologubova, optimize the area and make the mezzanine floor, where the bed and wardrobe are located. The sleeping place is organized on the podium, the walls in this zone are covered with carpet - it provides the comfort and at the same time looks unusual. The wardrobe is immediately - with the booths - fashionable decision today.
2 Apartment with a bright color accent
In this French project, the mezzanine under the sleeping place is very small. This is not a half-story, but a kind of cube mounted on supports above the television zone. In this upper level, only a mattress and a couple of narrow tumbers are placed, and it is unlikely to get up here. In the main room - sofa, workplace and TV, and attracts the bright color of the wall with the mezzanine - red. The kitchen is located in a separate small room, and here they repeated the same color gamut, and the color accent was made in the form of a refrigerator.
3 Ethnic Loft Apartments
Architects Natalia Tsvetkov and Vladislav Ivanov united two small studios at the apartment complex and posted a bedroom on the mezzanine floor. The height of the ceiling on the mezzanine - most comfortable, here you can get in full growth. But for this I had to sacrifice a little to the height of the mezzanine - there were placed closed storage room. The interior is decorated in a mixed style - Loft and Ethnics. And it is the sleeping area that is filled with ethnic motifs to a greater extent - the hostess with comfort rests and is engaged in meditations.
4 Little Studio in Light Tones
This Paris Studio is an area of only 20 square meters (and then with the bathroom, and the room in the photo is even less). And a sleeping place on the mezzanine, perhaps, was the only possible option in this case. The place was very compact - in fact, it is only a mattress and a few shelves. But in the main space, more space for the sofa, kitchen and dining table was released. Light shades visually expand the space, and bright accents - partial staining of the wall, a sofa, a tile on the apron - they make it mischievous.
5 Studio Wagon
In this studio, Antesol is prescribed above the entrance - it is precisely such a location in small rooms most often. Under it, the bathroom is drawn up, since the wet zone, again, is often provided precisely next to the entrance.
On the antlesol bedroom, the designers placed the mattress on a small podium, provided for storage space and bedside table. The interior is decorated in a modern style. Light shades, texture of wood predominate here, and black accents add graphitres and volume.
How comfortable is the mezzanine bedroom? Opinion designer
Architect-designer Natalia Tsvetkov, the author of one of the projects of our selection, shared his opinion about the convenience of this decision and told who it would be more suitable.

We had several projects of apartments with Antlesol. Objects, as a rule, are new buildings that are bought for one person or marital pair. The presence of high ceilings and the ability to arrange the second level are not so much a pleasant bonus as a decisive factor in solving the acquisition of such housing, as the area used is increasing. Such a layout, accordingly, the style of the future apartment is set: Loft or modern. The device of the bedroom at the second level involves the presence of a staircase leading from the living room. Therefore, the whole apartment presents a certain open space, and the bedroom has no sound insulation, is a significant minus of such a layout. For a family with children, such an apartment is hardly suitable if only children have already grown and sometimes every guests. But for business modern young people or middle-aged people - an excellent planning solution that creates a democratic atmosphere of an open space of an apartment.
