And so that lithium-ion batteries serve for a long time, you need to follow the rules of operation. First, the batteries are desirable to keep charged and not to give them discharge completely. If you charge the battery not after discharge up to 0-3%, but, say, when 30% of the charge remains on it, you can extend the service life of its service almost 2 times. Secondly, avoid sudden temperature drops when stored. If the battery freezes, it heats up - this strongly affects its service life and capacity. It is best to keep it in a warm room. Of course, you can use them at a minus temperature, but then leaving it in a cold utility room is undesirable. Finally, it is better not to expose batteries with serious loads at extreme temperatures, if this is not a professional technique. In addition, the batteries must be equipped with fuses so that they can turn off when overheating and did not begin to charge if too frozen.
