The main trends in the lighting presented at the international exhibition Light + Building 2018 in Frankfurt am Main.
On the world's largest exhibition for architects, designers and lighting specialists, Natalia Markevich was visited by Natalia Markevich, practicing LED, curator of the "light design" school march; Konstantin Deltaurov, industrial designer; Konstantin Prokopenko, Creative director of the Salon "Lamps" at the Little Ordinke, 39 - and on the discussions within the framework of the Light Talks cycle on the Little Ordinke, 39 shared their impressions from what they saw.
1 LED light sources
If earlier the manufacturers of LED lighting sources "customized" their products under the standards of the lamps of the traditional design, now the situation has changed dramatically. Now manufacturers of lamps, chandeliers, scores and lamps produce new models adapted to LED lighting sources.

2 Miniaturization of lamps
As a result, miniaturization of lamps occurs. No more majestic chandeliers are needed or spacious plafones designed to install powerful incandescent bulbs or fluorescent lamps. Luminaires become very compact, point sources of light. In parallel, miniaturization of LED profiles and other components is going. Such lamps can be done almost invisible in the interior.

3 High quality lighting
Continuously growing quality lighting. The highest indicators of the color reproduction index at the LED light sources (as a rule, their color rendition coefficient is 90% and more, which corresponds to very good quality light). The lamps are equipped with miniature lenses systems that allow focusing the light spot of the desired value.

4 Hidden light sources
Bright, point LEDs are often used as hidden light sources in various lamps with reflected light systems.

5 Light conductors
Hidden light sources are also equipped with various light conductors. This can be designer solutions based on fiber, also acrylic and other transparent materials can be used as light leaders.

6 Light Cascades
Familiar, familiar systems of top lighting disappear from the interiors! For example, chandeliers are in their usual for all representation. Their place is increasingly occupied by complex cascade solutions that use many (dozens and hundreds) of point lamps. Such light cascades make it possible to create unusual light compositions, they are a promising and interesting tool for light designers.

7 Interactive lighting
Modern interactive lighting technologies are increasingly used, for example, light-sound panels, which, in addition to the sources of light, are simultaneously acoustic systems (were presented on LG stands).

8 Rechargeable light sources
LED light sources consume little energy and can work on batteries for a long time. Thanks to this, the lamps become very mobile. They can be removed from the wireless charger and move easily to any convenient place.
