Customers and tasks
Owners of a two-bedroom apartment in St. Petersburg - married couple with a one-year-old daughter, cat and a dog. This is the second apartment of customers and the second joint work with the designer Olga Coposova - Olga has already been designing their previous apartment.
Family couple - professional snowboarders, in the winter they often go to the mountains, and in the summer they are engaged in selfing. This hobby served as a starting point for choosing a color range of the interior. "The previous housing of customers was performed in white and gray tones. In the new apartment wanted to be closer to nature, more color, more rhythm. The main palette was formed from the sandy-yellow, accumulated turquoise, deep blue. And, of course, they retain the basic gray, "the author of the project says.
Redevelopment
The original plan of the apartment, according to the author of the project, was quite successful. "Rooms are rectangular, spacious, windows on two sides, a high floor overlooking the forest park, dawns and sunsets," clarifies Olga. Therefore, global changes in the layout were not made. They left two isolated rooms - a bedroom, a nursery - and a kitchen, refusing the living room, built partitions in the bedroom to organize a dressing room. The bathroom and the bathroom combined, and also built a wall that separated the hall zone from the private part of the apartment.
"For the built-in drawing, a box of plasterboard was made and painted in the color of the walls, thereby" dissolved "the hood in the wall. This decision is no longer new, but it looks rather unusual. The lack of highlighting the working area was compensated by two original scores, "the author of the project commented on the interior.
Finish
The main material for wall decoration is paint, the exception is the walls in the nursery, they are covered with wallpaper. In the bathroom, the walls were issued glossy tiles and large-format porcelain tiles. Paul in all rooms, with the exception of the bathroom - a quartzvinyl tile under the tree. "This decision was successful," Commented on Olga Koposov. - First, the junctions and the impositions between the rooms were avoided. Secondly, pets now move silently. "
In the kitchen did not save steel, made a registered headset without top cabinets. On the one hand, high columns with integrated equipment. Also in the kitchen was a washing machine - it was built into a separate locker at the entrance, which also became a place to store the economic inventory, in particular, the vacuum cleaner.
Furniture and storage systems
The hostess of the house, according to the experience of arrangement of the previous apartment, quite clearly represented which storage systems are needed for a comfortable placement of all things.
"With the beginning of a pandemic, workers had to leave," Olga Koposov shared. "And many works of the hosts did themselves: they painted the walls, the geometric drawings were applied in the corridor and the bedroom, completed the electrics."
So, in the bedroom allocated a separate dressing room. In the nursery provided a wardrobe for storing things, also a spacious wardrobe in the hallway.
On the cabinets, according to the author of the project, they decided to save a little. Under them arrested niches and built in them IKEA cabinets. It happened aesthetically, but cheaper compared to the design to order.
Lighting
In the interior there were several scenarios lighting: general and local. In some zones, it is only local, such as in the kitchen, the worktop will illuminate two wall scaves, and the dining table is a suspended lamp with a bulk lamp. In the bedroom, an additional scenario of light is two sides on the sides of the bed, in the bathroom at the mirror - also suspensions.
The accent wall in the bathroom is posted with a rectangular glossy tile with offset. Against the background of calm porcelain stoneware under marble and in combination with wooden elements, the emphasis looks very appropriate.

The customers themselves inspired to create the interior and their passion. Passion for sapsorfing (a type of surfing with an oars) in St. Petersburg at first sounds like a challenge. The city, whose main color is considered gray, it seems, does not support the mood of sunny sports, clean paints of water, sky, sand. The project customers consider otherwise: water strings on a sapboard in good weather in St. Petersburg channels and in the bay became part of their lives. The hobby determined the mood of the new apartment: live paints of the coast, graphic lines, the functionality of the space.
